They could do a thing like FMA: Brotherhood where it basically mirrors the manga to a tee.
Looking it up, the manga was 12 volumes long, a little over 100 chapters. And the anime was only 13 episodes. It seems to me that a lot was cut without even having watched it. So, OP, why not just go read the manga? Or are you one of those people that pretty much just ignore manga and only watch anime? I don’t think that the series has a large enough following for a new, more faithful anime.
[COLOR=‘Black’]Ahem, rudimentary hate comment:
I suppose there’s nothing wrong with anime. I mean, aside from the fact that all anime sucks a donkey’s balls on a late sunday afternoon and being all around trash - it’s bearable trash [COLOR=‘Black’] - I lied, Its total garbage, lolumad?
Hell, you can do a lot worse than Elfen Lied.
Far worse.
If you’re going to bash something then explain yourself.
Elfen Lied was pretty good.I enjoyed it. But I wouldn’t ask for a sequel.
Has anybody here watched Cowboy Bebop?
No one should miss out on Cowboy Bebop. That would be a tragedy.
Honestly, I expected a lot more out of Cowboy Bebop, especially after hearing it hyped up so much. I was expecting a coherent series in which each episode built on the last, but instead, each episode kind of stood on its own. You had about three episodes out of thirty-ish that actually had anything to do with that huge bittersweet finale that everyone knows about.
I disagree. Even though the episodes were kind of their own plots, they were all entertaining. And throughout, you learn a bunch about the characters and start to piece more and more together about their past. That’s what tied it together for me.
From Elfen Lied to Cowboy Bebop? We should go to Sailor Moon next, just for shits and giggles.
Cowboy Bebop was pretty good but, eh, I don’t know, maybe I’ve watched it too many times to really think it’s amazing anymore. And I’ve seen much more since then. That and the episode to episode basis it is on for most of the series doesn’t really make me want to watch it some more.
While I do FUCKING LOVE Elfen Lied… I don’t think this would be a good idea, considering how much the anime differed from the manga at the end. A good percent of the plot elements from what’s left was already played out somewhat. Plus, there happens to be a pretty damn important character dead, which would mean MORE rewriting, which I don’t like.
