E3 2011

Dragon’s Dogma looks pretty sweet, especially if the AI partners are as good as some of the previews suggest they are.

Also, having re-watched the Final Fantasy XIII-2 trailer, there is definitely one good thing about this game… MOOGLES ARE BACK!!!

Don’t know if someone already posted this but Machinima Live Feed, they are streaming the whole thing. Later tonight they will be doing a Skyrim interview, not sure when exactly.

Does anyone know if the fancy voice controls for ME3 will work on PC with just a mic?

I´d be surprised if they didn´t after all I imagine it´s nothing to do with the kinect hardware, but simply voice recognition. However I can see them making you buy the kinect to use it (as software is coming out, if it´s not out yet, as in, official to use the kinect on the pc).

Protip: Its Kinect exclusive. The voice recognition software is built into the kinect to making it for the PC of PS3 would be pain.

But I´d imagine it has to be somewhere in the game code, so surely they could port it?

It would still be coded for the Kinect and the Kinect code would almost certainly not work for anything else.

Not like I would use it on the PC, personally - I am a terrible person and prefer good ole keyboard and mouse. I don’t like these fancy voice commands thingamabobs.

The voice recognition software is built into the kinect, so the Devs just have to code in what words to recognize. They could transfer that, but that would be copyright infringements and their collective asses would be sued into the next universe.

They said they weren’t gonna’ make a show.

O.k. guys thanks for clearing that up, not a big deal its just a the same thing I can do by pushing a button.

Someone posted this on another forum I go to and I found it pretty funny.

It was funny (the first couple of mins I watched) but I am certainly not watching 30 minutes of a guy ranting. So if there are any specifically funny parts please tell me the time.

Batman Arkham City looks really fun. Can’t wait.

I had an advertisment appear for a Google ‘say it to search for it’ phone app come up, nice bit of irony from Youtube. I think the guy got the wrong impression about MS’ plans, which seem to be targeting the casual gamers. I think MS are wasting their time, given the dominance of the Wii in that market, but if it can get more people into proper gaming, then it’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s also nice to see some games that use Kinect, which might actually be worth the time it takes to play them!!

I’d completely forgotten about this game but yeah, it does.

Sure but we were talking about gameplay … was it in-engine or CGI ?
He was playing it but graphics looked like something xbox360 cant handle thats why Im asking :stuck_out_tongue:

Boat trailer was CGI, tunnel gameplay was in-engine gameplay.

Yeah but dont you think that graphics were great ?

Yes, but they’re not surprising anymore. Have you not seen games like Uncharted 2/3 or the Castlevania Lord of Shadows? Those games have equally good, if not better, graphics than Tomb Raider.
