come on, its nowher near the new engines, anything better than 8800 will give you 1600 in full details ;f
lies
Well, Valve has always been kind about making it so you don’t need too great a computer to run there games.
I’m glad I just got 4gigs of ram instead of 2, even ep2 was kinda slow when I had other programs running.
Source isn’t as unoptimized as CryEngine, but you still need a pretty good computer to run it. It’s right around the requirement level of Unreal.
I seriously dont want valve to dissapoint me today.
But it is valve, so they are not going to.
Just to brag, my PC can run crysis DX10 on all settings maxed out.
That might have been impressive 2 years ago.
I get 20 FPS when I play Crysis DX10 maxed out.
I’m going to be that if you can play l4d2 on med setting playable you’ll be able to play portal 2 on at least low settings playable.
They dissapointed me
BUT, the portal 2 trailer was AMAZING!
wtf you talking about, cryengine was optimazed really well, the catch is taht it is teh best looking game ever, so its obvious it will require a better gpu.
Learn to spell.
I can play UE3 games at minimum settings at 640x480 JUST.
Source games? They run on Medium/High at 1024x600 completely fine.
Valve are unlikely to force everyone to use dynamic lighting, there’ll probably still be the static lighting for those of us with shoddy computers. i.e. me.
It wasn’t optimized well enough. CryEngine 3 tho, was optimized to the bone and should run twice as well as Crysis 1 with equivalent graphical settings on PC.
Jesus Christ, are you running of a netbook or something?
More like is he running his computer off the smell of an oily rag?
No, it’s a sheep. I’m connected to the internet through a bird.
Crysis isn’t as well optimized as it could be, I just hope Crysis 2 is optimized in a better way.
wachoo talkin bout
I can run Ep1 and CS: S (haven’t played Ep2 yet) at full settings with 200-300 FPS, and my computer is three years old, and it only cost me about €950 at the time.
That’s not too cheap for a computer.
