Nintendo Conference: Bad Zelda, Gears of Metroid, 3D 3DS, Kid Icarus.
Blargh.
Nintendo had a good E3 imo. New goldeneye, kid icarus returns, dkc returns, metroid back to side scroller, the zelda looks decent, and I wanna see more of this 3DS.
It’s the best conference Nintendo’s had in a loooong time.

3DS also looks to be quite awesome, and graphics nearly on par with Wii.
I hope the E3 Valve surprise is that Dota project from icefrog. Either that, or maybe they’re lying to us and the surprise is that it really is that its Episode 3.
That, or I’m way too optimistic.
Say you really really like Krispy Creme’s fatty sugary doughnuts. Now imagine that Krispy Creme has realized they will make more money if they release low-fat low-sugar doughnuts that taste like shit because dieting is a big new fad. So now they don’t sell their fatty sugary doughnuts anymore. You can’t buy your favorite doughnut anymore. You’d be pissed wouldn’t you? That’s what microsoft has done to gaming.
Look at my above analogy. Dieters may love the new low-fat doughnuts, but I’m not on a diet so I want the big fat sugary doughnuts. I like shooters, I don’t like any other game-type (usually), it’s a personal preference, and it’s probably not gonna change. And yes, I have played casual games before, my uncle has a wii and I played wii sports. Interesting for about the first 1 or 2 hours, but it got stale after that.

EDIT: You’re just being childish. Seriously, you’re mad at Microsoft because they give attention to people who play casual games for once. You’re like a kid who’s mad at his parents because they gave him always attention and then for once they give attention to your brother, and you start whining like a little baby.
Microsoft is known for its shameless obsessive chasing of projects. They obviously realized that Nintendo is trumping both them and Sony because the Wii speaks to a broader audience than the other consoles. Broader audience = more income. This is what they are doing now with Kinetic.
Microsoft doesn’t make software and hardware for you. They do it for their wallet. Just like any healthy company.

The Zelda game seemed a little weird, it looked as if they transplanted TP Link with minimal changes into TWW. Everything seemed a little out of place. And I don’t know if transplanting TP link into TWW is good or bad.
When TWW came out I was very upset and refused to play it at first, but after somethinking about it I decided to give it a try, and I think it is perhaps one of my favorites if not my favorite of the franchise. It wasn’t in spite of the graphics, I believe that the graphics definitely one of the main reasons why it was good.
When TP came out I was just as excited to see a slightly more realistic game with and adult Link, and it was good, but it seems to be missing something that I can’t quite nail down. Something about the game to me doesn’t have that much replay value. I also don’t like the color palate as much. Seems they gave into that “real is brown” movment developers tend to stray into from time to time. I’m not just talking about the twilight areas, the main area color palate looked like someone took a decent palate and slaped a faint sepia tone over it. I don’t play games to see “real is brown”; I enjoy playing games that are rich and vibrant, full of color.
I hope they manage to do a good job with it.
Also, I find it very curious that Nintendo is doing a Goldeneye remake. I think that they should be moving forward and not looking back.
Nah, everybody looks back or you woudn’t have sequels for games. If they can make it as fun as the old one, why not ?
As long as mankind has alcohol Wii will never get boring.
Thanks to Wii I learned I’d be a horrible drunk driver (not that drunk driving isn’t horrible, I’d just be more horrible than horrible).
Also, F.3.A.R seems to be kickass. Minus the Point Man looking like a bum.
Wow Nintendo really surprised me this E3. I was feeling really disappointed after Microsoft’s crap yesterday, but a lot of cool stuff was introduced today. Might get around to actually picking up a Wii sometime.
All the big players are working on 3D tech atm, what a coincidence.
