There’s been a lot of confusion about the Valve press event.
Valve originally said that they were going to have a Portal 2 press event (the whole “suspend until E3” was probably related to that), but they cancelled it in favour of a “surprise”. Everybody sighed, but that was still fine. What emerged later was Valve’s official notification of the press release’s withdrawal. That announcement tried to serve as a less confusing official version of the previous announcement, but instead seemed to confuse everyone completely.
In short, the announcement doesn’t mean that Valve isn’t coming. Nor does it mean that Valve wont be having a surprise. It was just officially announcing what they’d already announced to us.
Is it still portal 2 related?
They should at least show Portal 2. Now if there’s going to be anything surprising or not, no one knows.
We are going to see VAVLe Sports for the Wii when it’s Nintendos time.
Starring Gordon, Chell and Zoey as the Stars.
Stop being such a FPS-whore and play something else for a change :meh:
And I don’t care for Valve anymore. I’ve lost all hope. If they just made the suprise Ep3 related Gabe would actually come without numerous death threats.
Another Fallen fan of VALVe… Keep it up VALVe and you’ll loose more than just the community.
I dont like Mr.Shadow.
it goes liek this, [OH FUC SOMETHING HAS CHANGED I HATE VALVe NOW!!!]*
lol wut
Implying I actually care.
The thing about VALVe though is that when they do make games, they make good games. So in that knowledge I cannot complain.
its terrible I tell you terrible, the surprise is …is …is…IS…they’re delaying portal 2 till 2011
:what:
:aah:
:FFFUUU:
Zelda looked sweet =D
Of course they cancelled Portal 2 and the surprise would be that it wasn’t cancelled after all. That would be so Valve style… and especially fit the humour of Portal and GLaDOS.
That’d be the gayest suprise ever. Then I wouldn’t ever care for Valve at E3 ever.
The surprise is not EP3 is not Portal 2. It’s ARG that will lead to EP3.
I know, really. Everyone’s all like, EP3 OR GTFO. They make many games; many GOOD games. There’s more to them than the Half-Life series, even if it is a great series at that.
I’ll make an analogy I suppose.
Say you hired a world class chef, who makes all kinds of food, and it’s all very good. However, since they won’t make you pizza, your favorite food, you fire them. Now; you could beat around the bush and argue that you hired them, so you have the right to fire them for something as trivial as that, but VALVe is not your chef. They aren’t bound to making only Half-Life. You know all their games are of superior quality, so why bitch and moan just because they’re putting extra time into HL EP3 and working on Portal 2 at the same time?! I mean, it’s a whole freaking company. It’s not like there’s three or four people making everything.
Look guiz, I still love Valve. I just don’t care 'bout them on E3, because I know they won’t show Ep3. So I still love their games and all. I just don’t care about the Expo’s and conferences anymore.
Oh. Well that’s more reasonable. Before, I was all like, :what: .
However in case they pull something like they did for the HL2 beta, I’m still watching like a hawk.
Well its purportedly not Episode 3 related, so chances are its Portal 2.
I never meant to act like “It’s not E3p I ma guna cry nao” kind of a person.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
