What did they announce?
Basically, MSG, as in, the series plus the new title, is coming to XBOX 360. XBOX LIVE now has last.fm, Facebook and Twitter support, and they announced a new motion controller that actually isn’t a controller, it’s just a camera that tracks your movement and you influence the game with your body/gestures/expressions. They advertised it as “you are the controller”, blah blah, point is if it ends up working, the Wii is getting some serious fucking competition.
They went from stealing one game company’s idea to anothers.

Last year, Sony had to say goodbye to Final Fantasy. This year, Metal Gear. Next, Gran Turismo? Because they don’t have many huge franchises left.
The PS3 isn’t as bad as watching a car crash in slow motion, but it is as bad as watching someone spin into a gravel trap or something.

Wasn’t it made clear that Konami won’t be porting any of the old games? Someone needs to get over it.

And it was said even before the report in a link, that MGS4 will stay ps3 exclusive.
btw, MGS2 was already on xbox.
Sony will have the new Metal Gear also. Sony has a web browser which can do all of those other things. The camera is kind of cool because it senses motion in 3d instead of just making a 2d image of a person as these types of cameras usually do.
Quite frankly I didn’t see anything in the Press release that got me excited even a little bit. I don’t think I’ll buy the new camera and there weren’t any games that really appealed to me this year.
Even though I prefer Xbox, I think that Sony’s E3 is going to be better from a games standpoint. I really do.
MGS was announced during the Microsoft exclusive portion, so yeah.
@OldDirtyBastard: He said that pretty much about the entire franchise after MGS2. This simple game is breaking precedent in and of itself, so who’s to say whether or not what he said before stands.

The xbox 360 couldn’t handle the size of mgs4 anyway. They had to make cuts just to fit it on the damn blue ray disc, let alone a dvd.
The uncompressed data for Rage is supposed to be in the 1 terabyte range. However it is going on both the xbox and the ps3. The trick is compressing the data and putting it on multiple discs.

By that logic, MGS3 should be on PC and Xbox for 4 years now.
And IIRC, MGS2 failed on XBox.

Nah, we’ve yet to see BBs face. I don’t think that such an artwork was a simple PR waste of time.
I couldn’t give a toss whether I would have to swap disks or not, a la Lost Odyssey.

Did FF 8, 9 , X, X2, XII get on XBOX? No.
XIII and ongoing - sure.
I don’t care whether they port them or not. I could have played the ps3 version if I’d wanted, but after I saw how long the intro was and how many times the gameplay is interrupted for cutscenes I decided not to bother.
