E3 2009

I said announcements. As in we just found out about them. Also, Halo: ODST looks awesome for what it is (ie another awesome Halo game.) And it comes with the multiplayer beta for Halo: Reach! Yay!

However, though I’m very grateful that one of my favorite franchises will live on, I hope Bungie makes somthing non-Halo before it’s too late like Infinity Ward (No matter what anyone says, “Modern Warfare 2” IS “Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2.” Removing the Call of Duty name doesn’t change the fact that it’s really another Call of Duty game.)

I prefer LEFT 4 DEAD AND GOING 2 DIE :rabies:

@ John

Bungie will burie halo franchise at the 6th game. It’s the rule of series, like COD : they’ve found nothing more interesting than infinite ennemies, even in MW and because of that, I agree with you about these two are the same franchise.

How about… RIGHT 2 DIE? :fffuuu:

Bungie has been using the same universe (Does it count as the same IP?) since Pathways into Darkness (exluding ONI).

Also, to avoid the blandness that will be the Orange Box 2, here are better suggesions:

-Fortress 4 Life:The Cake is a Lie.
-Team Portal Strike 4 Source: Episode 3
-Counter-Cake 4 Half-Teams.
-Strike at the Fortress of the Half-Dead: Still Alive.

Love that one :slight_smile:

Hey, Master you really should work in advertising for valve. Counter-Life Source : Episode 4 die

I want to punch you in the soul

I lol’d.

But on a serious note.

I hope to hear something about;

A new Counter-Strike.
Portal 2.
Fallout 3 Vegas.

Can’t wait to see;
Starcraft 2.
Diablo 3.
Assassin’s Creed 2.
Gran Turismo 5.
Tekken 6.

Will be pissed if I don’t see anything about;
Half-Life 2: Episode 3.
Hydrophobia.

Dreaming they announce;
Little Big Adventure 3.
A new Command & Conquer game.

Pretty much sums up my expectations of this years E3.

Prepare to be dissapoint.

Which one?

ALL OF THEM. Better to not have high hopes so when they don’t announce it you haven’t set yourself up to be disappointed, and if they do announce it you are pleasantly surprised. SC2 and D3 will be at BlizzCon later this year, dunno about E3.

Wtf would they do with a new counterstrike? Make it suck less?

Interesting. Kotaku tested Burnout Paradise using nothing but Project Natal to control the driving. The game wasn’t even made for compatibility with PN, but it still worked pretty good. I’m interested to see what they can come up with when they are building games for it from the ground up.

God, how many times does it take…
NEITHER PATHWAYS INTO DARKNESS OR MARATHON IS PART OF THE HALO UNIVERSE! Okay? Good.

Epic list of names too btw.

Aside from the repetitiveness, it was a good game. Not a huge fan of the physics, feels super unnatural, but I guess I’m just used to games where your car is a bit more floaty.

Whats that post got to do with how you like the game? Excuse for complaining noted, ok?

Anyway, It is interetsing to see how well Natal is working, the driving is one of the things I thought wouldn’t be so good, along with the voice recognition.

On edge for new news, personally :slight_smile:
.

Yes, but Halo is highly based on them.

I’m fairly certain that Marathon takes place several hundred years after Halo, since they both feature the UEG (the UNSC in Halo is a branch of this) and all UNSC equipment features the Marathon symbol (I realize this likely an easter egg, but it would be logical if it was true.) Pathways into Darkness definetly takes place in the same Universe as Marathon, as the giant Alien that crashed into the Yucatan that the Green Berets go after is the same as the one in Marathon.

Also,

FROG BLAST THE VENT CORE!!!

That just means Bungie likes to make little references to their other game universes, like the marathon logo being hidden in the Halo logo. Speaking as someone who avidly played the Marathon series for years, and then played Halo for longer, I can say they are not the same universes.

Booohooo, Castlevania : Lord of Shadows announced 5 minutes ago at konam Press conf.

My one concern about ODST is the ally AI. The marines in Halo 3 had terrible driving skillz, and they shot rockets n’ shit at enemies standing right next to you. The AI will be especially important since this is a teamwork oriented game.

Also, the SWAT team dudes look like retextured marines.
