gearbox will continue to box gears.
my hero.
Cool, but wrong sub forum
This will be released sooner than BM, etc.
old news, most likely to be abandoned, etc
Pretty cool if it ever gets released. They only have one screenshot and its of a garbage can. lol.
And, you know, an in-engine trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wp0mFnJILkY
It is going to take a while (my guess is 2-3 years) of course, but the guy running this is one of the most productive modders I’ve seen. It’s amazing how quickly he can make content. I actually think this one might make it to release.
old news? its 6 days old
…and yeah its propably gonna be released sooner than BM and if not theres something to wait for after completing BM on hard…
They plan to release a Multiplayer Beta in spring next year.
Later they said they plan to release it mission by mission (not level by level, each mission consisted of about 10 levels).
They said that the whole project will take 2 to 3 years. And it is far easier to accomplish a remake of Dn3D because the original was simpler than HL1 (although they plan on updating it a lot also in terms of gameplay) and the project uses an engine which is said to be more productive than Source (please no engine-wars).
With a producer from the industry onboard and a proper workflow I think this is gonna be released.
Basically yeah. The UE3 tools allow you to preview your work faster than the Source SDK. I bet if the BM team was able to perfectly preview their lighting without the need of numerous compiles, the mod would have already been released.
fancy website, very little media
No new media for 6 days, omg ded mod.
An hero?
they have media, just not on their website but on Gearbox’ duke forums
link?
If you’re talking about the screenshots and that one video, then those are old, made only for testing and are no longer in the game.
I know, but it still gives people a taste of what it is.
Keep on dreaming, human.
As I see it (but I can be wrong) the Editor can be shipped with it, because it is a non-commercial project.
And currently they plan on doing the non-Atomic-Edition. SO plenty of Duke to fool around.
its no wonder they are allowed the duke nuken logo’s and name as gear box knows duke nuken forever will never be released this is the best thier fans ever get
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
