Alas! The game is but just over a week away, and the demo has been released for the First Access Club members who bought the Borderlands GOTY before October 12 (I believe), Borderlands on Steam before then, or preordered DNF.
Currently downloading it now, we’ll see how it is. Post your thoughts.

Really? I’ve been hearing very bad things. But it could just be graphics whores. Apparently it looks about on par with Quake 4/Prey, which offends some people to no end. I don’t really give a shit, I’m curious how it plays.
This is the one time I’d consider pirating a demo, but the cracks all involve messing with Steam, and that’s not gonna happen!!

We’re in a hipster generation where many try to hold a contrary opinion to feel different and special, garner attention, etc… (not really realizing that there’s so many of them doing the same thing)
Graphics weren’t bad. As far as Gearbox goes, it looks better than Borderlands ffs but no one complained about that when it was out.
Gameplay was solid and fun, retaining the elements of the original Duke while introducing some new polished ones.
This will be my first experience of duke since my short times playing the original 2D games when I was around 8 years old(I think)
I preordered from amazon before they announced it would have any first access club code.
As of right now I havent recieved any email that has the code at all.
I’m kinda thinking thats why they changed the date to june 9th to put in the code to get the free MP addon.
I’m just wondering if anybody knows about the amazon emails.

I think you had to do one of the following things through steam:
Buy The Latest Borderlands DLC As soon as it came out(Me Did this)
Buy Borderlands GOTY Edition Before a certain date
Pre-order the game over steam
You then got your first access club registration key under DLC for Borderlands or Under your Pre-order on Steam
Pretty short demo but fun nonetheless.
I think the game has pretty decent graphics, the only thing I don’t particularly like is the post-processing effects but they don’t really get in the way of gameplay, so no biggie.
It has very pretty water effects.
I dunno. It seems too much like a Halo 3 clone to me.

Anyway, DNF definitely has the old-school level design and gameplay style going on there. I just wish they’d get rid of the two weapon limit.
Yeah that would have been for the first, earlier this year and last year.
