I think Gearbox wants to make a proper Duke FPS and clean their act a bit after their previous disasters.

Duke is one of those franchises that isn’t really tied to any genre. I wouldn’t be surprised if they made a fucking RTS.
Yeah that is true. Duke3D was an FPS, Time to Kill and Zero Hour were a 3rd person action/puzzle games, and Manhattan Project and the original 2 games were side scrollers.
This could be like Manhattan Project but top down, which could actually be pretty cool. I liked Manhattan Project a lot.

The games are an offense to anyone with IQ above 70.
Don’t get me wrong, they used to be fun gameplay-wise, Duke’s voice actor is cool and badass and the weapons were very creative/varied and interesting, but the gameplay isn’t even good anymore and it’s just Randy Pitchford’s wet dream nowadays.
