Duel Geforce GTS 450 or Radeon HD 6870

Yeah so anyway Alienware just went out of stock for the 6870 :meh: and the only other card i can afford is a Duel Geforce GTS 450 I cant really find a comparison on the internet so i thought id ask here. So Should I wait for the 6870 to come back in stock or buy the duel 450s?

inb4 alienware bashing

Yea, if you want a good pc don’t get an alienware. I’ve had a bad (more like abysmal) with the laptop I’ve had. Even though I’m using right now.
You can get more for your money and better quality from somewhere like ibuypower. My brother’s got one, and it isn’t falling apart like the alienware.

Are you getting a laptop or desktop? If a laptop, try here. A couple of the guys that I work with have gotten theirs from that site and are happy with them. They let you order laptops with parts missing in case you want to get your own HDD/RAM/etc. if you feel ambitious.

They do have a tendency to remove the manufacturer’s logo and put their own, however.

Im getting a desktop  and I had a feeling that an alienware would be frowned upon

EDIT: FUCK YES (<–excuse the language) I can afford a Radeon HD 6950

Thanks for the help…

wait I didn’t get help…

Thanks anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

Ayayay… i warned ya.

Good choice, i have to of those as well (Crossfire), are you going to get it with crossfire?

if your getting a laptop i can suggest the Asus G73 or G74 models i have had the G73 model for about a year now and it is great i have had no problems at all with mine aside from one software issue with the blutooth! but was no biggy! mine has the nvidea gtx 460M graphics chip with 1.5 gb of video memory! it plays crysis and cod black ops with no problems at all! and it’s built like a tank and has a good cooling system on it which is hard to find on a laptop! tiger direct has the G74 model right now for about $1200 it will kick any Dell alienware’s butt easily! now if you are getting a desktop i would do some research and get the knowledge to build you own, because the the manufacture’s all cut corners and use cheap parts to save money! for gaming in this day and age you really need no more than 4 gb of ram preferably DDR 3 and you might as well spend the money and get a quad core processor it will be worth it in the end! i use the intel core i5 2500 cpu and it performs very well! i use the geforce gts 450 EVGA graphics card it does leave some to be desired! i would get the the radeon hd 6870 or the geforce gtx 460 and up! although mine will play crysis, cod black ops, and most any other game it will not keep up at max settings so to keep the games running fluently i have to turn down the resolution and other settings a bit! good luck!

I can’t tell if this is a bot or somebody that doesn’t know what capital letters are…

maybe both?

well, he certainly knows how to use exclamation marks…

I bought an Alienware before it was owned by Dell. Machine quality and service was excellent, however since Dell took over it seems to be getting worse :frowning:

I noticed
Even the specs they offer are quite meh now.
