has anyone heard of the game Daikatana? Its was release about a year before dues ex, by eidos. Now i was cleaning out my basement and i came across an old beta from 1997 that i still had, if anyone is interested in trying that beta, just let me know and ill torrent it for you
uh, No thanks. I heard that game was terrible…
didn’t John Romero from id software help develop that pile of shit?
Was that the one where John Romero was talking about “[making] you his bitch” and “suck[ing] it down”? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daikatana
according to Wikipedia (which for all I know could mean Complete Bullshit) there was an ad with that tagline…
How big is it? I never tried the original, but it might be a good look at home the game was/should have been.
IIRC, Daikatana was mostly horrible because of lengthy delays; it was based on horribly outdated technology by the time it was eventually released, which meant it look tired and old.
@OP were/are any of your relatives former/current Eidos employees?
'Cause the fact that you have a Beta of a (crappy) game that’s well over a Decade old kind-sorta bugs the crap out of me.
I remember playing it after all the anticipation :fffuuu:
my friend bought it for a $1 on eBay just to see if it’s actually as terrible as it’s reputation. my favorite part is when beating the first level causes the game to crash.
in b4
:retard:
Who’d want to play a worse version of a bad game? Might as well call it “Badgame: The Bad Edition”
Ah but betas are cool regardless of how crap the game is. Besides Daikatana wasn’t just bad, it was so bad it was the start of the downfall of Ion Storm.
SUCK IT DOWN.
Why play that piece of shit when you got Half-Life :retard:
my dad used to work for a company based in nebraska, called nebraska furniture mart, and he always got invited to E3, and all of the big game show, he said that he also would acculy go to (lets say nintendo) nintendo’s warehouse and pick up nintendo 64’s. Now that was back in the 90’s so that wuz a long time, ago. He actuly got his hands on one of valves early betas of Half-Life 1 (before the used the goldsrc engine, and were still using the quake 2 engine) which is probably in my basement with all the other decade old software
ya i remember that too, and i the second i played it i wuz like, “what the hell is this crap?”
and acutely i remember this beta being better than the full version
OH, E3 goodies. well that makes sense.
if anyone wants the beta here it is
