Developer quotes on release and process

Eh, that’s not too bad of a download, given plenty of servers hosting it or a torrent. Probably no more than an hour for me.

With all of this fake HL3 information floating around, this little morsel is pretty exciting.

It’s not like this is any larger than a normal game. Nice stats, it’s pretty cool to see how it compares to HL2.

Does this mean content production is completely finished?

Not necessarily, it’s just stats compiled at the time of Ram’s post, doesn’t mean all content is already finished.

I think that the mod is finished, and that they are just fixing glitches and bugs. But, that’s just my speculation.

insane amount of choreographed scenes

The size of the sound folder(s) pleases me. Quantity plus (I’m assuming) quality more than HL2? Yes please!

Ghostbusters isn’t only for nerds.

That could be said about any nerd related subject.

Kill All Nerds

take the files quantity difference between BM and HL2.
look at the files size difference between BM and HL2.

Epic quality is EPIC!:freeman:

The most frustrating thing about all this waiting is that it would be completely unnecessary if only players weren’t smartasses trying to trick their way around everything.

The majority of bugs like getting stuck in walls etc. occur because players are trying wall-sliding, bunny-hoping and other bullshit like that. The Devs then, in reaction/prevention, have to test and re-test and bugfix and fix again every bloody glitch that most players wouldn’t even encounter :frowning:

(sorry for ranting, but this mod is in bug-fixing mode for like 12 months already…)

Not really, they were working on levels at least 4 months ago, not just bug fixes.

Do we really know what they’re working on? For all we know, they could have been spending these past months trying to get a soda can (in the game) to stand up at a certain angle without falling.

Unless, of course, there is a post somewhere that negates my hypothesis.

EDIT: Also, the post above, I wouldn’t think there would be much, if any, modeling left to do. I still have faith in this mod, though.

wow, that sounds bad

Yeah they were lollygagging the whole time :meh:
Guess the devs were acting like the situation is okay but in fact they aren’t doing anything. Good work guys. The tiny bit of motivation, patience and respect that I had for this mod and you is gone.

Here is a link to a site that might help you.

All quotes on first page initial post should have dates attached to them to reflect a proper timeline. Otherwise, great work summarizing the Dev’s comments concerning BM mod status and/or possible release details.
