Developer quotes on release and process

“…You HAVE to save my dying grandparents, they haven’t played Black Mesa yet!!!”

It’s nice that Raminator and James take the time to answer a lot of retarted questions in the GE thread, but why do we hardly hear from the other team members? They have computers don’t they? and I for one would love to hear their sides of the story.

They’re too busy working on the mod.

So that means Raminator and JamesKane are not.

James and Ram are only devs left

Maybe they’re ahead/done with their part? /baselessspeculation

I think James is the one working hardest on it of all of them at the moment.

Seeing as all the art is probably done (even though there’s always that obsessive tweaking)

Probably wise on their parts.

How many developers/programmers are working on BM these days ?

Would you rather them be posting on the forums instead of working on the mod? One official presence is all we need, having more than that is just a bonus.

I want to urgently contact with Carlos Montero, I am his loyal fan! I want him to ask something. please do not ignore me I’m from Russia! hello to all you guys are the best!

From Steamcast,
“We just recently finished On A Rail and the only remaining bits are the very ending of Lambda Core and polishing”

“It’s really been in a playtesting phase for about a year or two”

At least we have some sort of update; not meaning to sound critical of the mod. :stuck_out_tongue:

Although, I’m not going crazy over it; as I’m hoping no else is as well. :freeman:

I really appreciate tidbits of information like this. I understand why the team doesn’t give out info, but that just makes it all the more worthwhile to hear things like this. It gives you a sense shit is actually getting done.

Wasn’t the exact thing that they said “We’ve recently locked down On a Rail”? It means something different.

Well at least now maybe there will be a few less people asking how far they are in progress. Then again alot of people might take that info for far more than it really is.

Not really but interpret it how you want.

Michael Tannock wrote on youtube channel:

Oh that’s good! I mean I have no idea what any of that is or how it impacts the mod but that’s good!

EDIT: Wasn’t replying to that exact comment, was replying to his quote.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
