What does the quote have to do with the picture :aah: !
As in, you must construct additional pylons as fuel for your hope.
Well even Gametrailers is asking for HL3; like that will ever happen :fffuuu:
Well Valve already got most of its games up to the Two stage, so they don’t have much of an excuse to not make HL3 unless if they working on an entirely different game or “Team Fortress 2” Part 2"
The devs want to be just like vAlve, they delay and delay and delay just so they can blow our fucking minds when its released, everything looks so great, so excited, the devs will be admired by all. :freeman: that is the best smiley evar.
The best thing one can do is stop visiting the forums frequently and live life to the fullest. I check back on forums every couple weeks for Black Mesa and Halo CMT SPV3 to see what is going on. After that I remember it will be awesome when it comes out, and the time will go by faster.
Are you even serious? Wtf nonsense is that, think when you post ffs.
Now obviously the developers can do whatever they want and we’re not entitled to any information, but this reasoning kinda strikes me as understandable given the circumstances but somewhat flawed. For one thing people upset about stuff are obviously more likely to voice their opinions, so its no surprise that the loudest voices will be people complaining. Pretty much every corner of the internet has trolls. And while it is certainly impossible to please everyone so it would be ridiculous to try, I would guess that an occasional status update or twitter post would have pleased the majority of fans, where as no updates period pleases no one. Now I’ve never had to deal with rabid internet crazies criticizing my hard work and reacting against that by shutting up completely is certainly a natural reaction, but simply ignoring the haters might have been better than punishing everyone for the actions of a couple idiots.
@Prism123: I, and I believe many others agree with what you say, but it has already been said multiple times, and nothing changes.
I believe they would’ve stopped taking time out for official updates eitherway because they only want to put their precious time in the mod.
I can’t blame them and applaud them for that, but I hoped they would just say so instead of blaming the complainers as reason.
In the same logic, the mod development could as well be stopped because of the complaints that it takes too long. And no, I don’t think the devs make Black Mesa only for themselves, they want to show their work eventually.
So although it’s perhaps no fun for us now without any official update, it will be once it’s released.
And here’s the real kicker: Some of the community have been waiting for 6-7 years for something that will be played and done with within a day or 2. Then what ? What will the whining be about? I’m thinking OBM will get a shitload of followers and the whole thing starts all over again.
Sure there will be the MP, and the bug hunting, and the replays…but still, a few weeks after the release, there will be some empty souls out there.
Blade Runner shooter? How would that even work?
That’s as stupid as making a Jurassic Park Quick Time Event game…oh wait…
Well that’s why it would cost $40 million to get right.
You guys wouldn’t wanna try and create third-party content for Black Mesa once it comes around? Or perhaps stick around and watch other members hack away? I can see endless things that can be done!
of course my mistake…there is obviously a huge community out there that will rape/mod BM. I appologise. I was just thinking about the SP…all this whining, all this speculation, all this what if’s…I’m not a psychologitarian…but there will be blood. For what it’s worth: you guys have all my support.
How long after release until a “Black Mesa HD!” project is started?
Black Mesa is already HD.
I was trying to make a joke about retards trying to do a “Black Mesa, but better graffiixxxx!” project, but eh never mind.
Black Mesa UHD Edition
With 8192x8192 resolution textures!
I think my ATi Radeon HD 7742486 could handle that!
Well, I am from the future…
