Developer quotes on release and process

Hopeful - yes. But don’t expect anything in the nearest future. Last year, one of the devs (Jean Paul?) posted some info, that the team is VERY close to finishing the game. And what ? Still nothing in 2012. So yes, it is possible, that BM will be released soon. But soon could also mean 2013, comparing to the mods 7-year development time.

Sir. Tis as if our minds are connected. I’m impressed and creeped out at the same time. Kudos!

Ram said if it won’t be out before 2013, he’ll pay some guy fifty bucks, so I guess it’ll be somewhen during this year

I don’t think that 50 dollars is a big effort to him. More of that, Ram could simply ignore he’s statement. So no, 2012 might pass by as every other year - without BM release.

Hopefully. But, he’s only ONE developer. Do you think that the whole team would decide to release this year, because of Ram’s fifty bucks ?

Besides, remember what happened in 2010 ?

i was dreaming that i play with bms last night . that must mean something

It does. It means that you’re obsessed and should see a psychiatrist. :3

I was dreaming that I play with Anna Kournikova last night. She beat me in tennis, and I woke up in second place.

[COLOR=‘Black’]Also, her boobs.

Go on… :fffuuu:

Where’s the optimism man? There should be something in about 6-7

This is stupid. It’s done when it’s done.

Sounds just about right.

I don’t think anyone wants a repeat of what happened to us in the past. The entire team has wonderful communication between one another. My purpose of my rephrased answer was in efforts to not hold the development team responsible for any “release dates” speculated on the forums from quotes directly from myself or another person. Anything OFFICIAL that the team will be held accountable for will be announced by the big boss himself. That does not mean you, as a loyal community, cant speculate on things that you may think are clues or not.

So, i.e, there are clues?..just kidding man…I have to say this; ppl are stupid, they will find meaning in everything you say…denial or not.

I sense that all optimism has been sucked dry out of black mesa forums.

You must find some other substance to fuel your hope.

Good … Luck …

I agree that this forum is negative and all…but the mod is going to happen…this f-ing forum be damned.

Really?
Shit! I thought it was cancelled.

There is always the speculation, of course, that Valve may have acquired the project, which is why a release date or updates are more dusty than usual…

If that’s the case, BMS Team, you should be proud and not understate it; Left4Dead and Portal did really well with source code access.

Baseless and false speculation, however.

You seem shocked by that, Kaweebo. Why?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
