This is true. Their album Human After All is the worst offender, with the majority of the songs having little to no variety (it was, after all, made in 6 weeks, for whatever reason). They sounded pretty good, but they were highly criticized for repetitiveness. A lot of people even thought the album was a fake when it got leaked. But when their Alive tour came, everyone was blown away by how awesome it was, and then they felt bad for doubting them, so I think a lot of people are kind of blindly loving them again. Me, I love their music still, but I won’t say that all their songs are great, or that they can do no wrong.
Techno and Trance (in their purest forms) are the worst in my view. Simply because they are usually the cheapest overall. But since they get a lot of exposure - they contribute a lot to bad image.

Just thought I’d let you know the whole Tron album’s been leaked already. You can find it on youtube.
I am rather…disappointed with it. The majority of it is terribly Hans Zimmer-esque orchestra pieces (think Inception, fast repeating violin + deep booming brass) . You can only really hear their influence in a few songs, and only 2 or 3 are “really” Daft Punk, if you understand me. There was almost no point in slapping their name onto this project except to promote the movie. I realize for the actual soundtrack in the movie, the music needs to be suitable to play in the background and fit the mood, but we are treated to little Daft Punk-style even on the CD, which could have included plenty of songs not in the movie. I don’t hate the soundtrack, but it’s definitely not thrilling me. Probably just gonna buy the best tracks online, instead of getting the CD. I guess the focus has shifted onto the actual movie for me now (shocking!). I just hope this isn’t going to delay an actual studio album for another few years though, because this is hardly satisfying. 
i don’t think that the leaked Derezzed is the full version, because it should have been longer than the video in OP 
But i agree, not very many songs would sound like Daft Punk to me if i didn’t know it was them. I am pretty disappointed, but i think i’ll buy the non-leaked soundtrack if that has any more songs than this leaked one…
On itunes they already have Derezzed for sale, and it’s only about 1:41 long.

Yeah, latest album is a snooze. They only have a very select few good listens.
Stop being wasters. TRON is a good CD if you take it as a soundtrack. Not MGS2, but it’s better than most of generic shit.
