Derezzed

I have been looking forward to this since it was almost made along with the Tron 2.0 game a few years ago. I don’t want to see it in 3d though, so I might be waiting until it is on DVD… :frowning:

They suck.
Bloody Beetroots are what matters.

Daft Punk > Bloody Beetroots any day of the week.

Can’t wait for the movie and the OST, epic.

BUT COME ON! WHERE IS THE FUCKING SECOND ALBUM (Justice I mean)

I feel the same way. I know all music is repetitive, but electronic music seems to bore me the most. Some of my favorite songs are electronic.

I thought about putting “electronica” in my post, but put techno instead. They are very similar styles, so I just call all electronic music techno, even if it’s house, dance, electronica, whatever. Same with rap, hip-hop, and R&B, I call it all rap.

Electronica and Hip-Hop are the general terms usually.

Last few years’ electronica (electro house being the most prominent example) has a strong rock vibe to it. No classic house/trance repetitive shit going on.
Mainstream dance music does not appeal to me one bit (even though it has some decent vocals quite often) unless I’m in a night club.

And about excessive repetitiveness - basically it means that the song is in fact cheap/badly made (released free on web/b-side). Once electronic acts get on the commercial stage - suddenly their shit gets much less repetitive. Either that, or they focus on quantity. they just produce a shitton of material on a very rapid pace. Songs get forgotten one after another. Or get some guest vocals onboard, which really helps covering up shitty production. Heck, today’s pop music is just electronica, only with shitty vocals as opposed to electronic producers.

Daft Punk is the only act that seemed to get away with excessive looping through the years. But heck, they get away with everything.

Including being awesome. Most of the time.

Honestly, they always tend to have the most repetitive songs, but everyone loves them anyway.
They were not even robots before Discovery. But then they had that Dog guy.

I’ve only heard a few of their songs honestly. When I listen to a single artist too much I often start to dislike them. The few songs of theirs I have liked though.

I had a friend in high school who was obsessed with trance. That shit was crazy repetitive. It usually sounded pretty cool, (minus repetition) but the songs were way too long 9/10 of the time.

Its their helmets…there just so cool.
