Yes. Its a floating sawblade. I love it. Not to mention the flamethrower sucks.
Everyone have their own cup of tea, that’s all I can said.
I prefer Rivet gun or plasma cutter.
Plasma Cutters nice, but I ran out of ammo a lot.
Later in game there’s like no Plasma Cutter ammo
i played mostly using the seeker rifle, once upgraded that thing is deadly and so satisfying at close range
Seeker rifle ftw. Also they give you tons and tons of ammo for it. Flamethrower is also very very nice once you upgrade it a little.
Hey peeples, just thought i add this fix i found for Dead Space…It also works for Dead Space 2.Basically it forces Anti-Aliasing through the Nvidia Control panel. For anyone whos played
either games you know about the jaggies, the in-game AA function is a waste of time at best. Some say this method of forcing AA in the Dead Space series decreases the shadow quality…I
contest this and have found if anything it makes the game look much better with cleaner shadows.I highly reccomend 4X AA when forced like this,Im on a GTX 460 1GB and an E8500
duo.Anything over 4X AA kills my framerate, anyone on a GTX 470 and above might have better luck with higher AA.So heres the link…basically tells you how to force it and what you
need…hope you guys enjoy!!!

At least in Dead Space 1, it spawns ammo only for weapons you’re holding, and it usually spawns ammo for the weapon you have the least amount for. I rarely ran out of plasma cutter ammo. I was a damned good shot, though, as well.
I want to get Life-Sized Plasma Cutter Replicas… it cost like 668.44MYR as the DS1 version and DS2 Isaac handcraft version cost 729.21MYR…
The flamethrower was a bad joke in DS1, even when fully upgraded it dealt pretty much no damage at all. Is it more usable in DS2?
It’s very useful against certain types of enemies, namely the little crawly things that you have to shake off if they get on you, those jumpy child like necros and those stationary blobs that spit out explosive balls.
Also, the fully upgraded Plasma Cutter is awesome, except you have to buy most of the ammo for it later on in the game.
Little crawly thing= Swarmer
Jumpy child= Pack
Stationary blobs= Cyst
I am Dead Space nerd now.
You forgot:
Fat demons = pregment
So, I played through to Chapter 3 in Dead Space 2 this afternoon and am probably gonna start over now that it’s dark outside, but the game is, in my opinion, a massive improvement over Dead Space in pretty much every way so far. It’s fucking awesome.
Just beat it, I smell a third sequel in another few years. But all in all, a bloody awesome game. (pun most definitely intended)
Flamethrower is literally sex in DS2. Fully upgraded, can take out hardened slashers in just a few seconds, while the buring animation keeps them from moving. Good range on it, and with a little sweeping can hit a lot of shit all at once. You burn through ammo insanely fast, but a hardened slasher takes ~20 rounds or so in those 2-3 seconds it needs to die.
Also wanna say, Zealot force gun with the suit is amazing for the early parts of hardcore. Got all the way to the top of the church with just that. But it fucking fails massive uberballs against the QTE like bosses that drag you around for a bit before letting you shoot at them. The game glitches out and removes the Ranged secondary fire, replacing it with noramal primary fire. I forgot to save like the stupid fuck I am at the top of the temple just before the gunship part, and died to the giant bitch at the bottom of the shaft since I couldn’t ranged attack its weak bits. Same damn thing happened again on my next attempt, but against the brute that hangs over you at the end of the train sequence while your still upside down… So I’ve said fuck hardcore for now… I’ll go back and attempt it again eventually…
All in all, hardcore is not that much harder than zealot, about the same as it was in DS1. Just gotta know what your doing cuz a few bad spawns will shred your ass.
Those little crawly things basically disappeared after the medical deck in DS1, though, so it became fairly redundant after that. Plus the ripper was fairly effective at killing them anyway.
Brokenfridgehinge didn’t mention about it in his post, so I didn’t forget it. And it’s spell “Pregnant”.
Damn, Fong, look at you go. Correctin’ people an’ shit.
Is that illegal?
I got corrected many time too!!! D:
