I like the game, but this one is more action than scary, the first one almost made me cry.
I only died once on my normal playthrough, got sucked into a closing airlock a little after the Solar Array.
I died three times at the stasis necromorph. Didn’t realize I actually needed to stasis it.
This one bugged out for me… I died repeatedly, reloaded, and eventually had to start over… When I tried to stasis it, the effect passed right through it and it simply killed me… Was rather hilarious after the 10th or so death, seeing Issac die different ways.
I also hate airlocks… well not really, but when one of the suicide bombers drops out of a vent behind me, and blows up when I’m feet from a decompression window… Fuck you airlock…
My only problem with airlocks is that I usually had the ripper out, and the alt. fire didn’t work for me. Might have been a glitch though.
Holy shit. Just Holy shit. I just finished Dead Space 2. The ending was amazing!!! Sadly, the boss fight was pretty easy and not that amazing, but the storyline was all tied together so incredibly well. This just crushed MW2 as my favorite video game ending ever.
Can’t tell if sarcasm.
anyone wait till the end of the credits?
[SPOILER] >[COLOR=‘Black’]there are up to twelve markers :fffuuu:
Finished it, was fucking epic, one of the best endings i saw in any game. But way too much action oriented, also graphics were mindblowing at some places ;]
And Toxicitate, dude, you didnt pay attention at all did you ? Even in the first game it was told the red marker is only a copy, there are probably a lot of markers ;f
I didn’t play the first game
Nah not sarcasm. I simply liked the ending so much it sounds like faked over enthusiasm.
Now I’ll have to go scrubbing the internet for all the backstory I’ve until now ignored.
I just love the RIG design and cool ending similar to first game
DAMMIT! Spoiled.
I still haven’t finished DS1. Stuck with no ammo somewhere on that ship that comes to help you.
Surely, just surely, you’ve seen better. Did Deus Ex not tickle your fancy? Did Psychonauts or Final Fantasy X not bring a tear to your eye? Did Shadow of the Colossus not make you sit up in your seat or did System Shock 2 not make you change your pants? Did not even Prince of Persia: Sands of Time give you a warm fuzzy feeling or Half Life 2 leave you begging for more? Surely Portal would have made you question the veracity of the physical presence of the aforementioned baked goods, and Warcraft III just had to give you an immense sense of pride for sticking through it to the end.
There are so, so many games with immensely compelling storylines, so many of which finish so strongly that they put Modern Warfare 2 to shame. If we compared literary styles in books and video games, then MW2 would be the Twilight of gaming titles. I’ve just mentioned a few up there, and if your highest rated storyline achievement is MW2, then you have so very much more to experience it makes me lose just a little more of that faith in humanity.
Buy some at a store. You were saying you have a shitload of extra credits.
I always end up doing so, but it involves some epic back tracking. At the moment I have about 15 bullets for my machine gun thing, and about 20,000 credits (after recently upgrading my RIG at a cost of 30,000). So that’s really why I’m giving it a break for now; I never did well with back tracking, and it always makes me grow increasingly frustrated every time I have to do it. But I’m keen to play the second one to get in on the hype, so I must persevere. Not long to go, I think.
EDIT: I just checked. Yes, there’s still a long way to go. Something in the order of 4 chapters. SIGH! My kingdom for a difficulty change.
The pulse rifle is bloody useless, imo. It sucks at dismemberment. I went through the entire game using nothing but the plasma cutter and (occasionally) the line gun.

You won’t have hundreds of hours with the MP. But it’s not so bad, that you just play it one or two times. DS is generally a SP game, so the MP turned out very well, for a SP game.
Besides the Valve titles I haven’t played a single one of those games you mentioned. XD Besides 2 or 3 games here and there and the Half-Life series, I’ve only been a gamer for about 2 years so I haven’t played a whole lot of games, especially not the much older ones.
I’ve never really loved Valve’s endings. They aren’t good or bad. As for MW2, I don’t think it’s that good of a game, I just think the ending was done really really well. I like that you called MW2 twilight, it’s a comparison I’ve made many times to try and explain to my fanboy friend’s how it is not that good a game. XD
MW2’s ending: Two characters you don’t care about fight in a desert and you click once. It was pretty boring, just like the rest of the game.
