And have it face down.
Or just as a random board with a bunch of other boards.
Infact, it’ll look exactly like the other boards, the only difference will be the face drawn on it, but it’s not easy to notice at first unless you look at every plank.
But I’m gonna be looking in every corner and under every rock for crossbow ammo. I mean, medkits and rare item and stuff. I’m still upset about them remaking the crossbow into a limited-capacity HL2 rip-off. :’(

The Marines should fire at areas where they last saw you go. Like if you duck behind a something, they still shoot at around where right before you disappeared from sight. Then when they see you again, start shooting at you. That’ll keep the pressure on you when hiding behind something small like a barrel.
It would also be cool if some walls could be penetrated, and they knew this. So if you ducked behind one, they measure your speed and such, and fire at the areas where you might have gone, shooting through the wall.
This could be combines with Grenades to make it hard for the player to hide. And if they don’t see you reappear after a certain amount of time, they begin advancing on where you were. If they get there and don’t see you, they spread out. Finally if they don’t find you, or they find you dead, or kill you, they go off alert and regroup.
I know this (at least the shoot at where you were last seen) part is easily possible, because Sentry Guns in Half-Life did it (but only for about a second after you went out of view), and I think Gunships and Hunter-choppers sort of do it too.
