This is a tad relieving.
I never liked mocap all that much. Now I just really want to see the game in motion.
I just wish they did a bit more than just lines for the outlines. The biggest part of the look of the comics was the actual weight of the strokes. They varied and had a flow to them. What they’ve got in game is just a straight, uniform, boring stroke. They need something more like Okami.
I have to say, this is the most mixed my feelings have ever been for a newly revealed game.
I’m gonna try to trade in MW2 and Jericho to get the darkness back.

I still don’t like the idea, of someone besides Jackie knowing about Darkness and wanting it for himself. It worked in the comic, but it was established in the first game that Darkness is ‘unnatural phenomenon in an otherwise natural world’. It was the game’s major selling point.

I don’t like the look of the new darkness heads.
They look too serpentine and not fishlike like the ones in the first game. Too few teeth and too skinny I think.
I have to say I am very interested in the sequel… I just hope there are side missions like in the first. Going by the descriptions, the combat seems to have improved quite a lot. Imo, that was the only thing Starbreeze could never quite grasp.
Darkness arms looked creepier an nastier in the first game.
And they actually looked like they had a character.
Now, we seem to get a dumb soulless snake without any facial expression.
They also seem to have a wider angle POW in the second game. hence the arms look smaller and guns - bigger.
It’s early alpha though, I hope someone would have enough brains to point it out to them.

Bulletstorm-esque point system? WTF indeed. Better not be numbers and shit popping up on the screen. That just breaks the immersion. There needs to be as little HUD and other 2D stuff on the screen as possible. Starbreeze knows this so they use minimal HUD and a small laser dot that blends in, instead of an ugly crosshair.
