CS:GO Beta Engine Error

So I just got the CS:GO Beta yesterday, and when I launched it gave this error after loading for a few seconds.

I run on shader model 2.0 and people keeps telling me CS:GO supports 2.0 too.

Right click on CSGO on the games list and go to properties, then click on launch options and put -dxlevel 81 in there.

This might force the game to run on directx 8 mode and as such might be able to run on your graphics card.

If it doesn’t work, well, time to upgrade.

Already tried that, Maxey.
I’ve been told it’s a bug that came with an update so it can’t recognize the video cards and their shader models properly.

it clearly states that at least DX9 must be supported by your hardware, if it doesn’t, your problem.
You need to upgrade, this card won’t play this game well anyways

My card supports DX 9.0c

It’s still a very weak card.

I am aware of that.

shader model 2.0 is not DX9, it’s DX8.1
