Those things in the background look like some sorta mechanical-bug-mantis-kinda-dealy-o.
… So does that mean we have a confirmed new alien design?

Crysis 2 ruined everything imo so I really don’t care about the story anymore, I mean how could it be any worse…
Crysis 3 is now officially announced:
You play as Prophet and it’s the year 2047. (24 years after the happenings in Crysis 2)
You’ll be able to use a bow and to upgrade it. You are also using a better nano suit.
You’ll be able to use alien technology as well.
Story:
After his return, Prophet notices that the corrupted CELL organisation has created a giant dome at the Big Apple. That Liberty City Dome is a giant urban, tropic forest, with overgrown tree areas, tight swamps and lurid rivers.
The internal has 7 dangerous areas that have become popular as the “7 wonders.”
It’s supposed to come out early next year, for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
Screens;
WTF. 2047, Seriously!? So the end cutscene for Crysis 2 has also been retconned, so instead of going to Moscow or London (the two main targets seen by Prophet), you’ve been in a super coma in New York City, waiting for more aliens to come by. And what is this “Nano-dome”, unless it actually surrounds New York like an actual sphere then what’s the point the “Ceph” can just drill in.
The few good things there are about this is 1) Despite being in NY again it looks like they are at least trying to make the environments more interesting, maybe a return of the cold theme the island aliens had, or maybe an arid environment. 2) Despite many people’s rejections of the bow, I like it, it will be a pretty interesting weapon for the nano suit to mesh with, maybe it won’t de-activate stealth mode? 3) They are waiting to release in 2013. While this could just be them being sane with the development schedule, I’d like to believe its because they want to release on the next set of consoles. The screenshots we’ve seen don’t look that more impressive than Crysis 2, but it seems like it would be the right step for Crytek. So those are my thoughts.
PS: Finally got back from being temp-banned on April 1st.
I’m glad they’re not continuing off 2 because if this one turns out to be good I could play it without having to play 2 :3 .
I’m glad with what i see. Now, please less bugs than with crysis 2. Take your time, crytek…
Maybe this time they can remember the I in AI.
The key features of any Crysis game: A boring and (since Crysis 2) totally fucked up storyline, only a handful of different enemies + a boring and emtpy sandbox world, which is not worth to be discover.
And I personally don’t believe that this lacks will be fixed in a game that only comes out 2 years after its predecessor…
Haha, I just hope it will be half as good as Crysis1 and half as bad as Crysis2.
Like somebody forces you to play it…?
…ok?
It seems like they are reusing quite a bit of assets in the screenshots there.
Nope. I only wanted to say my opinion about the Crysis series here, but also nobody forces you to share my opinion about it. ^^
We aren’t sharing your opinion, man.
I don’t think anyone has ever spoken someone else’s opinion for them on these forums.
Nomad
Fuck Nomad, he was a 0815 hero, bring Psycho back!
mmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhh…
Three alien grunts are in the vicinity scouting for Prophet. Prophet jumps onto the scaffolding of an abandoned and broken down structure before climbing onto a nearby tree. Through the branches he enters cloak mode and readies his bow. He pulls the string back, lining up his shot.
Maximum Strength
An arrow flying so fast it could split a bullet zooms into the gelatinous cranium of one of the aliens as it’s own blood spurts onto it’s comrades. Prophet jumps down from the tree still in Strength mode, crushing one of the other aliens beneath his weight. He then proceeds to melee the last remaining alien before power-kicking him in the air. He sees a nearby explosive barrel and hurls it at the airborn alien, and just before the two entities make contact, he unleashes one last arrow into the barrel lighting up the sky as the alien gibs rain down. Prophet walks away cloaked into the foliage covered New York.
If the game played anything like I just described it, I would be very happy. We’ll see.
Nomad won’t come back - read Crysis : Comics and you will understand.
Ah, I remember the MP of the first crysis. Had elements of Battlefield and Counter-Strike. That was a hevenly mix…
