I don’t want to sound bad, but to me Crysis becoming another CoD. Crysis looks more like expansion to Crysis 2, rather than a proper sequel. The only thing I like is bow and change in environment.
At least the textures seem to be better from the get-go this time around
I’d like to think Crytek will actually deliver a proper PC version of Crysis 3 after the shitstorm with Crysis 2.
I have to give it to them, even if the gameplay sucks balls, it’s still the most beautiful game I’ve ever seen.
I hate this fucking blurry ass anti aliasing. They’d better fucking let me turn it off out of the box.
other than that, pure fucking beauty… alright, god damn it how the fuck does the suit cloak work on the gun you’re holding? The cinematic where they close up on how it works doesn’t explain that at all D:
It looks awesome but I couldn’t play with that much depth of field, grain and probably motion blur. So much blurriness plus a low framerate gets an instant headache for me. It looks more like a movie.
Look at the stupid hexagon emblems on that XM8 clone. They managed to cover up the “Y” in Safety, which isn’t anywhere near a trigger group or fire selection switch. (The actual selector is marked with bullet icons) Is it supposed to be CELL iconography or something?
Also, why the fuck is CELL in Crysis 3 anyway? They were supposedly shut down by the USMC and labelled criminals. (Someone pointed this out in a previous post, and it really should be answered)
Crysis seems to be going the route of other games in that the sequels have increasingly stupider plots. Fear 3 is a good example if you’ve ever played that…the storyline goes right off into videogame lala land near the end of the game. Crysis 3 looks like they decided right from the start that they wanted all these strange environments and THEN had to shoehorn in this awkward plot that justifies why any of this should make sense instead of the other way around. I’d suggest enjoying the game for its entertainment value and not expecting even a coherent storyline.
Near the end? That game didn’t make any fucking sense from minute one. They resurrected Paxton Fettel as a Geist like apparition figure that gets all chummy with the continually mute Point Man. The co-op gameplay focus ruined the entire story and the gameplay- F.E.A.R. 3 simply wasn’t scary in the slightest. If anything, I thought it was hilarious at times, by nature of Fettel letting out deadpan wisecracks worthy of Horatio Caine.
For me, there is only one game in the Condemned and F.E.A.R. series for a reason.
Dat toad tesselation
It’s a shame all this technology couldn’t be used in a good game.
Its out there for free, man. Do it.
Heh, I wouldn’t know where to start with this, I don’t know anything about making video games.
I noticed something. Watch Crysis 3 trailer from 0:15 for a bit:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5NNkyDt65w
Now open this video and listen from 03,38: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCYHzN-qt1w
Similar?
I have to say, this does look pretty fucking cool. It’s like the Predator gametypes for Halo 3, except with more specific behaviors. I loved those custom gametypes, so I can’t imagine this being bad in any way. The only thing that could fuck it up is if the prey respawns on the hunter’s side after they’re killed. That would be ridiculously unbalanced considering what the hunters seem to be capable of.
Both teams are CELL. Why are they hunting their own men?
Reminds me of The Hidden mod.
I’d like to know this.
Rogue agents? Probably some kind of story-related thing.
