So I downloaded it and decided to give it a go, but every time I launch it I get a black screen, I can hear the various logos playing. I try alt tabbing, ctrl alt deleting, alt f4 and nothing fucking works, have to reset my whole computer every time.
You tried waiting for the videos to end too?
Never mind, got it working.
edit: Nope, only worked that one time, still having the same issue.
Achieved in cryengine 3
Oh fuck. Crysis 3 will be Directx 11 exclusive. I guess it’s another little incentive to buy a new card.
And yet they’ve ported it to the PS3 and 360. That’s bullshit.
Except you’re still not getting a lot of the stuff or on the same level of quality as you get on the PC.
Sometimes it’s nice to get all-platform titles on consoles simply to save hassle and hard disk space, especially if there’s no mod support.
If it’s on PS3/360 it still means that they’re putting time and money into a DX9 version and whatever type of OpenGL the PS3 uses. So it’s still not a DX11 only game. If they already have a DX9 version, they should put it on PC also, instead of trying to convince us they care by trying to pretend it’s DX11 only.
I’d have to completely disagree, hunter mode is fucking terrible. I’ve played a million other games that have done it a million times better.
TBH I can barely tell any difference. Regardless, most MP shits all over Crysis 2s, it’s not something to write home about.
Sorry do I come across as some kind of wannabe uB3R pr0 or am I just making a point? Or are you just adding in these pathetic quips to ‘assert your intelligence over people with a differing opinion?’ as is oh so common on the internet.
Fighting against you? It’s called having limits and thus it adds a challenge to the gameplay.
Riiiiiight.
Different as in completely fucking terrible? Sure. ‘Let me tell you’ that is completely speculative.
You can argue that without the suit powers the game is nothing but another ADS shooter, sure. However that isn’t the point I was making at all and your getting completely off point. I’m merely saying that the added addition of having to manage your suit energy, which you now pretty much don’t need to do, was an added challenge to the game.
You say it should only be the players that should cause the challenge, but I put it to you that the management of their suit energy and potentially your lack of it IS in fact another part of ‘THE OTHER PLAYERS’ getting the better of you. You might not want that in your game, that’s fine, but to come along and say I’m insulting your fucking intelligence and get so fucking pissy about it is just pathetic.
No I didn’t say that, again just presumptions. I said the additions are terrible, this is because ( from what I’ve played ) they are terribly done.
No a word doesn’t become meaningless simply because you don’t agree with its use. I used it in regard to having to think about your energy levels, a tactical awareness as to what you can use in different areas in different situations.
I personally believe another players management of their energy pool ( or their lack of doing so ) is very much apart of the challenge and ‘skill’ ( holy fuck I hate THAT word ) of players. You don’t, that’s fine.
So you don’t like Crysis MP. That’s alright, no big deal, let’s get over this, please?
The 360 uses a custom DX version that is half-dx9 half-dx10 and while the PS3 can use OpenGL, most devs use Sony’s proprietary API. Anyway, I believe the PC version is pure DX11 and boasts most of everything the engine can do and then they custom retrofit all those features for each console’s rendering system, so it’s just not a case of actually having DX9/10 and OpenGL versions ready for the PC.
Or I could be wrong and they’re just being cheeky cunts.
Of course not. It’s just that the very fact that it’s ported to the 360 means it’s scalable, meaning they have no excuse. I’m pretty sure it’s them being cheeky cunts. Like I said, they’ve had some under-the-table shit going on with Microsoft in the very recent past.
yes.
Are they still making that Kinect game?
Anyway, this could also just be a deal with the graphics card companies to sell more cards.
Either way, I’m starting a new job this Friday and in a few months I’ll have enough cash to buy a new graphcs card, most likely a HD7850.
Because I used the word ‘tactics’ and in general don’t agree with you? Lol what a fucking loser.
On an added note, and this’ll be the last. The lack of the added challenge with regards to the energy drain HAS in fact devolved this game into nothing more than ‘ADS Shooter No 12.’ with a few upgrades. Instead of thinking and taking your time over engagements in the ways I’ve already described it’s become a run’n’gun bore. This simply doesn’t fit with the way the game plays in regards to movement, weapons etc and is thus detrimental to the gameplay.
In regards to DX11, Chances are they simply couldn’t be arsed with anything lower, as they’ve never given much of a shit for lower end rigs. Any incentives from microsoft would only compound their laziness, which this game seems to show in spades.
I head they’re holding off on Ryse till the next Xbox. I think it’s good move because the current iteration of Kinect is pretty shit for doing what it’s supposed to do.
I still remember that underwhelming E3 presentation for Kinect.
“XBOX! PLAY MUSIC!”
[COLOR=‘Red’]Mented, drop the namecalling. It’s fine if you don’t like the MP, but you don’t need to get so argumentative over it.
I totally agree on this, the Crysis 2 beta so-called “leak” was not only playable from start to finish but the retail was exactly the same game (even DX11 support was missing just like in the beta and was only added later in a patch)
Lol. ME? LMAO.
YOO MEE DAWG… YOLO XD
