I know! The leak was pretty awesome graphically. Textures are low res in some places, and the buildings windows are flat textures in most cases. (I didn’t think they’d have fully explorable buildings, but I had dreamed of at least better looking windows.)

This demo is pure fun, the inability to toggle ADS takes a bit to get used to but once you do it feels natural. The suit plays much better than it did in the first Crysis’ multiplayer, which was basically people whoring speed mode to get out of a firefight. The action is fast-paced and frenetic. The only thing that annoyed me about the nanosuit was that if you walked in armor mode it would deplete your energy.

Overall this demo is great and should hopefully seal the deal for anybody that’s on the fence about this game.

Yeah I’m def. buying it now the demo is loads of fun actually. I might just think it’s fun because I was kicking ass… Anyway, at hardcore video settings, no problems at 1920x1080, and damn is it pretty. Looks better than Bulletstorm, and the demo by itself is funner. Voice chat works like you’d expect it to, but text chat is kind of annoying to use.

The demo is definitely fun. Granted I’ve never played Crysis 1 multiplayer, but the nanosuit is damn fun in MP and after the second round I’m finding I’m getting plenty of kills.

I’m in the “can’t log in boat”. I try creating an account in game - first I get a “something’s wrong with your username” error, and then after I change it, “that email address is in use”. Fed up and went to mycrysis.com to register. Entered info and the site crashed. Refreshed and I was logged in. Navigated to another page on the site and I was logged out. Now attempting to log in again on the site - currently has been trying to log in for about 5 minutes. Cannot log on in the game, just makes the login screen go away and come right back.

Worked fine for me. The game looks and plays excellently, the only downside is that I suck ass at it. :frowning:

Apparently the only online FPSes I’m good at are old-school twitch shooters like Quake III.

Pretty long install time for a demo I must say. Then again, I’m used to source games, mods and classics. Gonna be feeling a whole lot of pain in my bandwith when May comes bringing Portal 2, L.A. Noire and Deus Ex…

It’s fun alright but a few glaring flaws.

  1. Gamespy
  2. 6v6…Seriously?
  3. Cloak has already resulted camping beyond MW2 levels.
  4. Autoaim should not even be an option.
  5. For wearing a nano-suit and having ultra parkour like abilities. He throws grenades like a pussy.

Yeah, It ran good on my 3 year old comp as well, I was surprised it ran better than Crysis. Also, you don’t need a mycrysis account, I just fired up the demo, then created an account, and I was in-game in a flash :smiley:

  1. Evidently, no spawn protection. Numerous times I spawned with an enemy about 5 feet away and was instantly killed.
  2. About impossible to hit anything without using iron sights. Realistic? Maybe. You’re also wearing a super-advanced nano suit.
  3. Armor is required to survive more than half a second in a firefight. See above.
  4. Headshots seem to be rather easy to get with any weapon.
  5. Kill streak perks. Thanks CoD.
  6. Holograms. Thanks Halo Reach.
  7. Scout class - almost useless. It’s like TF2’s scout only without the speed.

Still pretty fun as shooters go, though. It’s basically what it would look like if Halo Reach and CoD MW had a baby, but it overall works, there’s just some stuff that irks me.

Feels more like Call of Duty than Crysis. I miss the large open maps with huge terrain and ability to ride around in tanks/jeeps or fly in aircraft.
