I’m not too sure you guys are all that into Counter Strike, but I assumed it would be nice to have a thread about it, seeing how the beta has just went public/private. I haven’t received my key yet, and I’m not sure if I will any time soon. Has anyone here gotten their key yet, and if so what kind of experiences are you having?
Oh yeah, and if you do have a key it would be really appreciated if you added me, or anyone else who requests one on this thread.
ahhhh I remember the olden days when I used to play CS in a LAN cafe with my friends.
Then I tried it online and was instantly killed within 1 minute of each round.
I suspect CS Gobal will be much the same for me.

How do you even apply for beta?
There’s always at least 1 guy in the server who’s waaay too good. But I usually manage to do alright in CSS. Get a star now and then, usually manage to keep a positive KD. I just try not to take it too seriously and I have fun. So I want to at least want to try CS:GO but I’m not real stoked about it or anything.
I look forward to this for the sole fact that its going to be cross platform with PS3 and then I can have a game to play online with my friend who is a PS3 guy.
I just hope that there will be console only servers to save myself from the disappointment of losing to a bunch of pros.
Maybe the PS3, XBOX, and PC war can finally be put to rest… when the PC players dominate the console gamers. And about the beta signup, I have no idea.
I doubt it, the PS3, Xbox and PC war we be put to rest when gamers get mature enough to realize that shit doesn’t matter. Which is not any time soon.

Here in my country CS is the national game. It’s the only thing you will play in the cybercafe. When the kids are bored and want to play, they don’t play in their own computers(or maybe they don’t have), so they go to play CS 1.6 LAN. It’s been the same for 10 years. Well, maybe it’s not like that anymore since I haven’t gone to a cybercafe for four years. But at least until 2007 it was the most popular game by far.
It was like that here back then…
But now some stupid kids are playing some stupid Korean online games and few still play CS :<
