Countdown on the BM website

Damn!!!

ATTENTION DEVS:

I HAVE A YOUTUBE CHANNEL AND A HANKERIN’ FOR SOME BLACK MESARIN’

No Game Grumps?

…fair enough. :stuck_out_tongue:

Soooooo… does this mean that release IS tomorrow? I mean… they wouldn’t put up a countdown to get people excited for… Youtubers. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh man. :jizz:

There goes any chance of getting anything productive done tomorrow.[sub] the joke is that i never do anything productive anyways[/size][/sub]

Man, if it is being released tomorrow, well f*ck I want it, but I am broke.

Lmao, if they’re only giving access keys to a select few individuals, I don’t want to be around when shit HITS THE FAN tomorrow lol. Personally, I understand if they’re trying to get out a private beta first, but, if they restrict access after building this hype, thousands of people are going to flip shit. Perhaps it’s an early access thing for tomorrow - with an imminent release date to follow (that wouldn’t be too bad, eh? It’d also give them some extensive testing before releasing the “final” product).

There’s no doubt that it’s coming to Steam very soon.

Edit: Will download the Steam version of Black Mesa as soon as I get back home.

Hit me up on Steam when it’s available

Would be cool if the Black Mesa devs create a server for all of us to play in celebration of its launch.

Less than 10 hours to find out.

I thought XEN was still pretty far off! Don’t think we’ll have it on release, if it’s gonna happen this week.

Gonna play some shitty games till that time. I guess there’s gonna be streams by “the great youtubers” after the announcement?

This precisely describes my experience just a few minutes ago.

I know I shouldn’t get my hopes up but I CAN’T HELP IT.

Also glad I’m on Eastern Daylight Time, so I don’t have to get up for this until 10:30. XD I’m really not a morning person…

It’s a bit confusing though. The announcement mentions “9:47 am MST”, but New Mexico is currently on MDT, so the clocks would read 10:47 for people actually living there. And that means on EDT it should be 12:47 pm, but my countdown will end at 10:47 am EDT. O.o Wat.

Oh man, I must admit I am pretty hyped right now. That emergency message is pretty haunting…
What is everybody doing until the end of that timer? I know I will be in 3D-modelling class, modelling a pear…damn. If the steam release is actually happening today I will eventually be able to play it some time tomorrow, hopefully.

But what I am really worry about is the new updated graphics! Is my three year old system (that I actually bought in order to play Black Mesa back then) able to do the new version?..Man, I hope so! uff, the tension…

If it could handle the mod version, chances are it can the retail version.

Cant wait until 10 am!!! Ill be buying soon when it release, ill buy anyway how much it cost.

Can’t wait for the release!!! And PS, the remake can’t end without Xen. BEST MOD EVER!

Huh, did the countdown reset to the original set of colour bars with no audio for anyone else?

Yup, same here. Now I really want to know what was going on before…

EDIT: Saw the video someone posted. Awesome stuff!

Yes. I’m guessing it might have to do something with @getoffmydeskkitty 's earlier post regarding the use of EAS tones, although that’s obviously just speculation.

Well, could be, but they’d still be able to leave up the emergency message.

They’d need to edit the mp3 file which contains both the EAS tones and the message, so before they do that it’s either both or nothing.
