Countdown on the BM website

I quoted this to my friend, and this was the conversation that followed:

Me: I will laugh so hard if it is Xen and the devs were just pretending to still be working on stuff.
Friend: XD
Friend: I feel like if they’re doing something like this, it’s for a reason
Me: Well yeah.
Friend: they wouldnt do something this hypish if they didnt have something exciting to deliver
Me: And I’m pretty sure they’re not stupid enough to do something like this and get everyone worked up for anything that isn’t either Xen or something that’s somehow better. (???)
Friend: XD
Friend: “We all got hired by valve! We’re on the team for half-life 3 which is coming out RIGHT NOW!”
Friend: “also everyone gets candy”

I hear a bit, but it’s very brief and fast, and easy to mistake for audio artifacts (and may in fact be merely audio artifacts, though I doubt it). I also hear voices at points; sound like Marines, or maybe scientists (oddly, they put me in mind of Rosenberg, who is from Blue Shift and Decay).

It’s my birthday too!

“step dancing G-Man”

I need this to happen now.

Also, said all that to my friend:

Friend: I read “dubstepping g-man”
Friend: I’m tired XD
Me: Hahahahah
Me: G-Man step dancing to dubstep

Now I need that to happen too.

I don’t know if anyone has pointed this out yet, but the Black Mesa workshop has shown up on the list of recent workshops in the Steam Community

Oh wow, nice catch! I’ve been checking the Workshop page (Skyrim Modgate 2015 and all that) and didn’t notice that until now. It’s showing up for me, too.

I’m trying my hardest not to hype too hard… It’s not working. :jizz:

Attemptin to post this address https://www.bmrf.us/? on facebook and it says "All clear given for Black Mesa Evacuation Zone"

Here’s one item in the workshop. It’s called dm_chopper:

Here’s another one called dm_shipping:

Black Mesa’s Bitbucket issues reporting website last had activity on Feb 3/15. There’s still a wackload of issues pending to be fixed, if the Deva are even monitoring it anymore.

It’s gotta be something other than the next BMS release.

I noticed that too! Forgot to mention it!

Yep. Black Mesa’s Steam release is definitely almost here.

According to this thread’s links - https://steamdb.info/forum/343/ - the five maps on the workshop are by TextFAMGuy1 and Tarry H. Sruman, both devs here.

Just an FYI: A Steam release is different from a Retail release. Keep that in mind.

As for speculation; signs point toward MP and possibly a simultaneous Steam release of the shiny new 2013 port.

This is provided the Devs aren’t deliberately trolling us with the workshop…

Maybe it won’t be on Steam, but it’s starting to seem very likely for it to happen.

That’s a nice find!

This steam profile has Black Mesa “trading cards”:

Also: No Xen (details).

Probs has something to do with Toma Basarab.

P.S. Lol Jambo come out stop being a pussy.

If only the timer ended on the 16th.

Half-Life begins on May 16th, 20-- at 8:47 a.m.

May 5th is when Gordon signed his contract. lrn2google

They will reveal the (final / retail) game’s release date. Source? A dev teased me ^^ Cannot wait. I also hope we’ll be able to pre-purchase it too.

Black Mesa Deathmatch: Quick and Cheerful

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
