Console vs. Pc

Which do you prefer?

I would much rather have a computer than a console because I can search the web, pirate games, map, like the interface (mouse and keyboard) better than console’s, and more.

I voted PC, I like mouse + keyboard better than gamepads, mapping, mods, free online multiplayer, etc, but consoles are undeniably better when you have more than one player for splitscreen.

What ratio will the votes for PC outweigh consoles, do you think?

both

This is how this thread will go.

I thought Ramminator blocked polls?

This thread is stupid. PC’s are undeniably better, as they have all the features of consoles and more.

I love my bawks. I will admit that. I do enjoy using a pad rather than a keyboard.

But PC is much superior in other stuff. If I had a stable enough connection (and a good download speed) then I would certainly be gaming on the PC more often.

I love both of them

QFT

I genuinely like consoles and PC equally, convenience, experience, etc, each have positives and negatives.
.

On PC, I play only TF2, CSS and HL/HL2.
On my PS3, I play everything else.
I’m not into “get the latest hardware to play the latest games” bandwagon, So I think I will go with consoles.

Also, fail thread is fail.

I love consoles, but the pc is superior in most ways.

Pcs are easier to play with and are more fun imo.
But consoles are better in ‘party’ situations.

In terms of video games, which one has the best out of the two? Does the Xbox 360 have better quality video games than the PC? Cause there are some games that unfortunately dont get converted for the PC.

360 < PS3 < PC

I can’t quicksave on consoles.

I like Xbox, because I can use it to chat and play games with my real life friends over LIVE. I also like the controller, even if it’s way to god damn small.

Consoles also get neat games that would be pointless to own for PC, like GTA4 and Halo 3 and Infamous and other things that wouldn’t play very well on the average system.

I still prefer PC gamin’ for the customization/modification/Valve games suck on consoles.

I believe they are unblocked for non-black mesa related topics, we just never see them because nobody really uses them that often.

when you get a game on a console, thats it. the game. when you get it on a pc you get the game plus all the mods, and tweaks which give that same game hundreds of hours more gameplay time. not to mention if its a game like UT2004 all the toatal convertions you get like 7 games instead of one.

I Agree.

Anyway, PC because, unlike consoles, I can play old classics (Half-Life, Wolfenstein 3D)with little effort or worry. PCs also have better controls for First-Person Shooters, the framerate is better, and mods.
However, consoles also have advantages. I have experienced little to no lag in console multiplayer games. The only time the game is laggy is when the developers suck (Epic Games’ “Gears of War 2!”) Compare that to most PC Multiplayer games, where they’re populated with servers with ping over 100! Also, when was the last good PC exclusive not counting Crysis?
There’s also the fact that console gamers don’t have to worry about DRM policies. Many DRM policies are just dumb, like in Far Cry 2 you can only install the game so many times. But what if my computer crashes?

And to think, if it wasn’t for Piracy, PC gaming would still be the giant it was. I hope those douchebags at PirateBay get their dicks cut off.

You suck.

lol

Pirates. As in Piracy. As in those who download games using torrent sites so they don’t have to pay money. I did’t mean “Most developers are afraid to make new PC games because Pirates will come ashore and take their gold.” Though somehow that is a good analoghy, sine these “pirates” are taking their money (“gold”) by not paying for their hard work.

Also, after playing PC games, I can never play Left 4 Dead on my 360 again. It just isn’t fun anymore. But when I tried it out on the Left 4 Dead Free Weekend, it was great! Now I’m wondering whether or not I should re-buy Left 4 Dead.
Actually, according the the people in the boycott group, I’ll be able to do that this fall!
