Console Hacks

and they don’t take too kindly to users with Homebrew channel (matter of fact, every other Wii System Update destabilizes the last version of homebrew software)… so your best bet is to have a buddy in Nintendo’s Tech Support Dept.

You turn off updates when you get homebrew :expressionless:

wii homebrew rocks!! I can play pirated cough, im mean backup gamecube games, and load all of my wii games onto a hard drive and play them right off of the hard drive

I have an r4 in my ds (it’s awesome) and I’m planning on hacking my psp 100’s (one for me and one for a friend) with a pandora battery and a couple o’ 16 gb memory sticks.

otherwise I don’t have any mods, but I figure that if I get a job I might buy a wii (because they’re cheap) so i can modify it and get all the games I want!

Homebrew Channel FTW.

I installed wii mod chips before soft modding was all the rage. Did 4-5 normals, and a couple grinders. (dremeling into the top of a micro chip was a little scary)

i made a video on how to softmod wii here

Well, if you install BootMii then you should be able to recover your Wii from any bricking. Without Recovery Disks.

I thought it was something like 99% of bricks you can recover from?

…something like 99%…

They just say that. It’s like saying black mesa is 99% awesome. Everyone knows it’s 100% but there is always that one kid that has to ruin it for everyone else.

That 1% will be some kid who ran over his Wii with a car and then complained that BootMii wasn’t able to help him. Or someone who tried to delete the System Channel and then reinstall it with nothing but a Commodore 64 and large pieces of string.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
