Condemned & Condemned 2: Bloodshot

I’ve been contemplating whether or not I should buy them (or one). I played the demos for both and I enjoyed it wholly and experienced psychological horror to a degree. It appears to mix a sense of investigation with crime and combat that is Fight Club-esque. Thoughts? Reviews? Is it really worth it?

I have a bunch of games lined up that I want to buy exclusively for the Xbox. These Condemned games are in there among Dead Space, Turok, Just Cause 2, Mirror’s Edge, Bioshock, and maybe even Bad Company 2.

My computer is shit so these games are out of the question for anything, but console. Plus, I have surround sound, HD, and an over-all perfect gaming environment with my TV.

Condemned was the most awesome horror game I’ve ever played!
I was very dissappointed that Condemned 2 was console only

I loved Condemned: Criminal Origins! Awesome game!
Condemned 2: Bloodshot was fun for the first half or so, but then the story gets a little too paranormal for my taste. Also it got too dark at times later in the second one.

Something I discovered when I was boosting for multiplayer achievements in Condemend 2… If you look straight up and sprint forward, it looks hilarious. I would go running at people like that and they would bust up laughing. It was hilarious when we had a big group of us doing it at once.
That was seriously the most fun I’ve ever had boosting achievements and I’m tempted to go pick it up again just to help others get the acheivements and play around.

I’m not much of an achievement whore anymore. Don’t play a lot of 360 and I dont care about Steam achievements.

Alright, I scouted out some deals. The internet says I can get both for at least $20 to $30 together. I’ll look into buying soon.

I really enjoyed the first one, even though the protagonist seems to be a bit out of shape. Definitely one of my replayers once I have a new system.

I just played Condemned 2: Bloodshot and thoroughly enjoyed it. Condemned: Criminal Origins is definitely worth playing too.

I was just in Gamestop today and Condemned 1 is $7.99 used. Condemned 2 is $9.99 used. So you can get them both for less than $20.

Both were great. I’ve played the first at least 3 times through. And some sequences in Bloodshot are just too epic for words ([COLOR=‘Black’]the bear, anyone?[COLOR=‘White’])

First time I’d been “scared” in a video game. I mean, right in the part where you’re in the MRI in Bloodshot, suddenly you see the face of the demon (I was alone on my couch in the middle of the night) and suddenly the power went out in the house. Scariest fucking thing evar.

YES get the first one atleast. They do a good job of horror in the game. It has its cheesy ways of scaring you, but the atmosphere, the pychological shit, is crazy, it is SO far the only game that had me pretty paranoid.

Condemened 2, is pretty good, but I felt they had tried to hard with it, tried reaching everyones personal scares, dolls, hospitals, bears, museums. The whole game though is completely different from the first, same story line, but the ONLY person who looks the same is vanhorn. Thomas went from mexican to white, and whats her name went from white and ugly to black and ok. Well she looked white to me in the first one. You will have fun online though, I remember the whole group of people I was playing with once laughing their asses off when I killed one dude by throwing a toilet seat at his nuts. It was double the funny because of the irony and the way the dude’s stance was when I threw it and killed him.

Anyways overall YES

The latter part of Bloodshot was decidedly garbage, though.
Just watch the Yahtzee review, if you don’t want to plow through it yourself.
