Computer wont start up

Ok so i have a old win 98 computer that i use for old video games and stuff that doesn’t work on my win 7 pc. i was installing a driver today and after it installed it the computer froze, so i restarted and now it wont boot up, when you power it on the power box fan comes on but the case fan and cpu fan both dont turn on but the lan card light lights up and the screen just sits there black and it doesn’t beep or do anything i checked the connections and unplugged it and took out the batt and still nothing any ideas?

Specs:
Intel E139761 Mobo
Pent 2 processor
ATI Rage 128 Video Card
Windows 98

EDIT: i did swap out another power supply and it still is doing the same thing

pull out video card and try turn it on.
If thats a phail, try removing the ram.

(continue removing stuff untill it posts, if it posts after removing something, youve found the fault)
if it doesnt post after removing everything then its proberly the mobo

I had this issue with my PC when I got some faulty RAM from Corsair. And my brother also had this issue with his old Windows 98 PC, the motherboard was faulty (intermittent cables or some such).

Not really helpful though, I guess it just shows that this problem could have multiple causes.

When your computer froze, did the mouse lock up as well? The RAM I had before the faulty replacement I received from Corsair was also faulty (but the PC would boot with it) and it would cause the PC to lock up at random, mouse and everything, with the only way out being to reset the PC.

Do you have any RAM you could replace the 98 PC’s with to test this?

this

looks like it was the lan card, the one thing that lit up haha but thx for the replies its up and running in its old glory  <3 my old comp it was my first computer i gamed on hehe
