Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun + Firestorm available for FREE

Yes, you heard -or well, read- right. EA just released TS+FS for free on the C&C website for free!

Link: https://www.commandandconquer.com/classic

that’s a pretty good price i gues

I just downloaded it, and now I’m playing TS for the first time. I’ve heard it’s pretty good.

Not a bad game. Graphics are a bit too dark, though…

I already own Tiberian Sun, but i never did get Firestorm. I may have to download it. I love just about everything in the Tiberium universe, but i’m a little iffy on the gameplay style of the new game coming out. Just have to find out first hand in March i guess.

I already downloaded them a while ago for free. Not official, but still.
Is there any benifit for having these official versions?

Got them in the Command and Conquer: The First Decade already pretty good games never finished them though.

Good, the last decent C&C games are finally available for free, although I did like Red Alert 3 a bit.

I am going to blame EA for the lower quality of recent c&c

Fuck EA, I hope they die in two fires… :frowning:

Wohoo Thanks Imonfire!! Seriously you own!

Wow, finally a chance to play the first command and conquer. Although I must admit, I thought this thread was someone posting a torrent link at first.

I hope they’ll release RA2 and YR too!

You know the only time I have really hoped for free ware releases is when i can’t find the game legit. But with C&C you can get all of them for like what 20-30 USD?

I agree, EA really started to screw up C&C, but i was actually impressed with Tiberium Wars, and Kane’s Wrath. I just hope they don’t go back to fucking it all up with this new class based concept. I also don’t particularly care for the idea of having to be logged on for single player content.

The EALA devs definitely have the capability to push out a good game, but their mother supercorporation tends to rush them… one of the many reasons why the C&C’s are declining.

Shame.

I’ve played the Beta for C&C4 since around Closed Beta Version 5, and I can say that it’s currently in a much better shape right now than when I first played it. EA might actually be able to pull this off… right now the game is pretty decent. The gameplay isn’t really C&C anymore, but at least the battles still feel like C&C, if anything…

Hey peeps, I just downloaded the Tiberian Sun, and It freezes or shows an error after some time, anyone else experiencing this?
My specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2,8 Ghz
Gforce 9800Gt 512mb
and I forgot the motherboard so I wont share that with you.

If your having any problems go here https://www.tiberiumweb.com/ and you will probably find a solution on the forums,
also don’t set the graphics to high because with certain attacks
(eg. the lazer turret and the disruptor tank) it causes a crash when they fire off the edge screen.

Only Tiberian Sun wasn’t the first C&C game by a long shot. That falls to (funnily enough) Command & Conquer. In the Tiberium storyline, it’s the second game, though I believe I read somewhere that the Red Alert storyline is connected by the fact that Kane was Stalin’s right hand man? (correct me if I’m wrong peeps…)

Had these game for years, but like any C&C game I’ve played, never finished them. :fffuuu:

EDIT: Not true, I have actually finished the NOD Firestorm campaign. More through luck than judgement though I think.

"Allied ending

Following the destruction of the Soviet stronghold, an Allied platoon discovers Stalin buried alive in the rubble. Before they begin to remove the debris from the fallen leader, General Stavros stops them. He convinces them that they saw nothing before they leave. Stavros then stuffs a handkerchief down Stalin’s mouth before covering his head with a large stone and walking away. This forces Kane, who was using the Soviet Union to get to power, and his Brotherhood underground, leading to the events of the first Command & Conquer. This has later on been retconned and now officially leads to the events of Red Alert 2.

[edit] Soviet ending

As the Soviets celebrate their victory in the newly-captured Buckingham Palace, Stalin commends the Commander for a job well done while drinking a cup of tea, only to suddenly realize the tea has been poisoned by Nadia. A disgruntled Nadia proceeds to gun him down as the poison overcomes his body. Following Stalin’s death, Nadia tells the Commander that the Soviet Union is now under the rule of the Brotherhood of Nod, but is then betrayed and shot in the back by Kane, who reveals himself to be the true mastermind. If one assumes Kane’s Brotherhood lets go of the Soviet Union and take up arms through guerilla warfare, this leads to the events of the first Command & Conquer."

And of course, all portrayed in the trademark Westwood Studios school of bad acting. (Except for Kucan)

Ty shram for that enlightenment.
