Sucking on my cock is cheaper and more enjoyable.

Of course, that lasts about five minutes, whereas Call of Duty: Black Ops will provide at least a few days of enjoyment.

fixed 4 realism

Hell, I thought my comment was good for a chuckle. :stuck_out_tongue:

HA HAHA HAHA HAHAHAHA

A few hours for the campaign, probably. But what about multiplayer? That should last a few days, right? MW2 is still going strong for a significant chunk of the gaming community.

I’m sure the opening cinematic will look really badass to teenagers, and will be just as mundane as any other game.

Not a chunk I would particularly wish to associate with.

And about 95% of that “significant chunk” are 8-13 year olds. Who gives a fuck about them? MW2 is a shitty game, and that’s the general idea around here, as well, from what I can tell.

That’s pretty funny, considering it used to be one of the biggest sectors of online gameplay. Then it tanked with map releases, shotgun campers, overpowered shotguns, etc. WTF happened there?

This is ridiculous. What comes with the “hardened” and “prestige” versions?

What do you mean what happened? Did you skip over the 8-13 year old kids part?

They were there from the beginning, right? I recall them from the first day I popped the disc in. I always mute them, ignore them, whatever. The only time they annoyed me was camping, but then again I always rush out into the middle of the map and get gunned down anyway, so I’m more at fault there.

You’re missing the point of Modern Warfare 2. The game is supposed to be realistic, not fun. Maybe you haven’t noticed, but in reality, bits of explosion-propelled metal are supposed to kill/disable people in one hit, and people with guns typically don’t want to die (Therefore, they stay in one spot to take advantage of the losers that do).

That’s why you should appreciate what IW did with the game. It may not be enjoyable in a gameplay aspect, especially in multiplayer, but they found a formula: Beautiful visuals, decent realism, and not-that-bad sound design. It worked and it made zillions in the market.

That’s why “actually good” games like TF2 never succeed economically when compared to COD.

Because regenerating health, custom weapons, driving snowmobiles over immense abysses in the earth, and being shot 15 times before dying is realistic, right?

In a reasonable counterpoint to your “realism” theory, the more powerful sniper rifles can sometimes take more than two shots to the upperbody. Alot of the weapons take a silly amount of bullets to kill, and camping doesn’t work in MW2. It doesn’t feel tactical enough for camping to be a fair strategy.

What? A game developer charging a lot of game that is aimed at idiots? What a shocking surprise!

Death throws from Activision. Mark my words.
