Chris Roberts introduces his next game -- Star Citizen.

Chris Roberts (Wing Commander) introduces and gives details on his next game – Star Citizen.

The detailing is really impressive.

This looks amazing. I want it now but I don’t really want to donate :stuck_out_tongue: . It looks like it’ll be the most detailed thing to be released on Cryengine, I wonder if it surpasses even Crysis 3. I kind of doubt it but it does look really good.

Wasn’t Wing Commander a terrible game? Or was it just the translation that was awful?

pyro plz

Not sure if you’re trolling or just been living under a rock.

We all know he lives under a rock. He didn’t know Halo was an xbox exclusive, hell, he didn’t even know who Cliffy B was till a few weeks ago.

Oh, that’s right, it was zero wing that had a terrible translation, not wing commander. My bad.

Also I’m only half-trolling here. I am fairly clueless, but I could easily find out these things with google. I ask because Xalener always has such entertaining reactions.

Rise! Rise from the dead! The crowd funding campaign is almost over.
They’re close to 4mil $ now.

EDIT: There’s also little something something on IGN

From the first minute I watched this video, it immediately let me think of Battlestar Galactica…

Same kind of fighters and ships and such…

wow

I’m liking the looks of it!

Kickstarter seems to have brought out the best in many game creators.

Oh, wow. This game looks great. I wish I could contribute to the kickstarter, but I’m just too broke.

Last few hours left. They’ve gathered over 5.5million dollars, unlocked a whole bunch of stuff and released this wip vidya

Hmm… well, now I feel like reinstalling Darkstar One.

That first person hangar clip with the low FOV was nasty to watch even in the small YouTube player.

That’s a deliberate concession to aesthetics, though it’s partly justified by the fact that all the spacecraft can go into atmosphere. Quite a few of the ships also have intakes, allegedly for bussard scoops.

The game actually does have Newtonian flight physics; the level of simulation even goes down to individual thrusters.

The dogfighting component of the game is out right now, if anyone wasn’t aware, though it’s an insanely buggy and incomplete alpha build.

I’ve been playing it quite a bit. :stuck_out_tongue:

Though honestly, it’s not nearly as buggy as I had expected. I have yet to run into any major bugs. I can’t wait to get into multiplayer. Hopefully soon. (They’re at 20,000. I’m #118620)
