If enemy soldiers held whatever part of them you shot and limped away, my first course of action would be to shoot all of them in the dick. It’d be even funnier if the medic applied a bandage to the specific area.
As awesome as that would be, we’re not supposed to be giving them enough time to go get medical attention. And I really don’t think it would add to the Half-Life-y-ness of the experience. At all.

I liked how the mercenaries in Far Cry 2 had this loop of in-combat-conversation that really added to the atmosphere of the game.
Not sure whether something similar would also benefit Black Mesa, though.
Shame none of FC2’s voice actors could act for shit. 
Posting on page 7 to point out that the thread title says “soilders.” Honest to fucking god, people, the word “soldier” is not that hard to spell. It isn’t “soilder.” It isn’t “solider.” It’s “soldier.”

Hopefully, everyone on the Internet has the time and effort to actually spell out their words. Unfortunately, it doesn’t always work that way. Certain people don’t have the capability of being on the Internet. It’s almost as if they were drunk or out of their minds.
soilder is a common typo, not a misspelling. even if someone were a phonetic speller, they’d realize soilder sounds nothing like soldier.
basically you’re angry/annoyed at someone who doesn’t have very dexterous finger, failed to double check his posts, or simply didn’t see the typo.
