Call of Duty Ghosts

Of course; and from what I remember, this should be the last one (CoD10).
But I mean really, “GHOSTS”? That’s all they like come up with?

Aw man, I was hoping that this game would have actual ghosts in it. I knew it would be some “Ghost Ops” BS but still…

^ I heard the Ghostbusters video game was actually pretty good, if that’s what you want.

Yeeeeah… maybe in that case, there should be TWO CoD games in development simultaneously? (ie one game would get two years of development, so when one would be half way through, another would start it’s development)

Wouldn’t that just split one team into two and then further decrease the quality of the games?

There are two teams working on the annual CoD games alternately and each gets two years to make the games.

I though this was common knowledge?

It is, I just wondered if Serza meaned that both Treyarch and Infinity Ward worked on two games each simultaenously, so they would have to spend only one year for each game.

^sorry if that doesnt make any sense im kinda tired

I don’t really think they need the time to increase quality, I think that they need the time to think of features that would “revive” the series for the audience that doesn’t really like it anymore.

I think that they need to stop making titles with the exact same gameplay and themes.

Make a CoD RTS or MOBA or something, I dunno.

I’d like to see more RTS games that are at least decent compared to the awesome RTS that was Warcraft 3 (Damn you Blizzard for not making a 4).

Actually there are 3 teams working on CoD. Infinity Ward and Treyard cycle for primary games and Raven software does the DLC.

Another team called Sledgehammer also worked on MW3 but I’m not sure if they’re going to be another dedicated CoD team.

Also Raven needs desperately to get out of Activision’s clutches. They’re much better than that.

Raven should have made a proper Solider of Fortune 3, instead of having that god-awful outsourcing of the IP hack job “Payback.” Or a new “Jedi Knight.”

I’m pretty sure Raven had nothing to do with that abomination, since SoF is Activision’s IP.

But I would really love if Raven acquired the rights to that and somehow become independent.

Soldier of Fortune WAS Raven’s series for the first two games.

How the hell have I not realized the director of “The Shop” in SOF2 was Liquid Snake?

They made the games yeah but the IP was always going to be Activision’s.

True, Activision generally leeches the rights to the IP in exchange for publishing, most likely.

You don’t really need to hold on to an IP when your game is just a dude who kills with boring old real-world guns.

Meh. I actually enjoyed Black Ops and Black Ops II quite a bit, but I’m indifferent about this. In general, being a bit of an antisocial bell-end, Call of Duty just isn’t my thing.

The games do have singleplayer campaigns, you know.
