Call of Duty Ghosts

The water sucks, everything else looks decent enough.

I can’t wait for the fish

FISH

Are Crysis-level graphics really that important? Remember the point for it is to run at 60fps, while BF4 I heard will run only at 30fps. They want it to be fast and responsive, not pretty.

Yup that dog is pretty much dead.

I’m only buying it if it has zombie mode including a zombie dog

and dubstep, lots of dubstep ingame

1:13 - mw3 m4a1 with silencer and acog

1:22 - mw2 m4a1

2:44 - mw3 ump45 during the crysis slide

2:53 - mw3 m4a1 with grenadelauncher (notice the player hands are from mw2)

3:46 - mw3 ak47 on the noclip screen

4:16 - mw3 m4a1 with reddot, notice the player hands are mw3 also

just wanted to get that out of the way

okay, so they’re using models they already have for a game they’re still working on, i don’t see the big deal

Well, let’s hope they ARE just placeholders.

Seriously, at some point you can’t make a gun model that looks anymore like the real damn thing.

Sure you can cram more polygons and better textures but it won’t look radically different.

EDIT: https://www.vg247.com/2013/05/23/call-of-duty-ghosts-not-a-new-engine-but-is-upgraded-says-dev/ Yep

Polygons and texture quality are already pretty damn high; what you need is an enhanced rendering engine like VRay if you want photo-realism.

Who cares? That’s like saying Source is Quake engine. Most if not all engines still use code from decades ago, don’t fix something that’s not broken.

sidenote I find it interesting that they have “Comments may be held for uploader approval.” setting turned on.

at last they’re making the environment react to player action. I can finally shoot a watermelon off a barrel like i did 10 years ago in hl2

But you did knife watermelons in CoD 4, remember?

Then they downgraded the engine for Modern Warfare 3 I think cause there watermelons can’t be destroyed T_T

CoD4 also had “new leaning mechanic” that they chopped out for the rest of the games
The “new sliding feature” is just the dolphin dive the treyarch titles have but not as tacticoole

thats exactly why i posted here…

BO2 used lots of BO1 models

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
