Buying Portal 2 for PC

I bought the PS3 version. You need to have access to a PS3 to activate it on your Steam account, and it ties your PSN account to your Steam account.

The disc is completely detached from the PC version, and is only needed to activate the key on your Steam account. If you don’t own a PS3 but can use a friend’s for 5 minutes, you will be set.

I got the game when the PSN was down, and played the whole thing without being connected to Steam. Once the PSN came back up, I linked it to my Steam account and it played exactly the same.

Paysafecard.

I don’t know if this was answered before - I think not -, but, for me, whenever I buy on Steam, the purchase shows up on the ‘international balance’ bill of my credit card (Visa). Usually, two bills arrive home in the same envelope; one is the national balance, and the other is the international balance. If you leave the purchase there (you can pay it using dollars at your bank the same way you would pay with your own currency), it will automatically be converted into your currency the following month, and you can pay with reais then. You get an extra month to gather the money

A bit confusing I guess, but that’s how it works for me.

This is what happens when people trust media.
Some stupid reporter made a big fuzz of “omg haxorz are stealing teh credit cardz!”, and then people get scared.

:frowning:

No kidding. The only way you’re going to get your credit card information stolen through Steam is if you’re a moron.
