Bungie's next project 'Destiny' with concept art

Yeesh. That review was brutal. I mean, you could play Warframe on PS4 for free instead. The grind is lessened because the RNG generates levels, you can craft whatever weapons you want, customize things better, and you can get a dog, flying robots, and soon, a jetpack to fly through space like it’s Gundam 00.

I played Destiny at a friend’s house yesterday.
It was fun to jump around, but the shooting was kinda samey. I liked the vehicles, though. And I don’t know if it was just us, but all the textures were blurry.
Maybe it’s just not for me, but it feels a bit underwhelming for being so hyped up.

So which was the bigger disappointment- this, or Watch Dogs?

If Destiny were a bit more open, had better customization on armor, weapons, and vehicles, and a few other minor things, it’d be the best game ive played in years. It’s a good game. Imo, but it feels like Call of Duty met Halo at times, and I get bored playing it after an hour or so. Other games of the same caliber, with online gaming components and such, have entertained me for a lot longer than Destiny. I think I gave it a 7.5 in the WGDYPT thread, or roughly that anyways.

At least this has room for improvement.

Titanfall.

I think Titanfall is fantastic. The parkour and mechs adds so much to standard FPS gameplay.

Titanfall delivered exactly what was promised but it didn’t end up being the CoD killer it was hyped to be, so in that sense it wasn’t disappointing, just a bit underwhelming.

Destiny, on the other hand, seemed to be a lot more than it really is as it had big money and big marketing behind it and the end result is a game that feels empty while having great gameplay. However I think Bungie will do good on their post-launch support and add much needed content to it.

Yeah, they full complete it in span of 10 years, even tho barely anyone will play it anymore 3 years from now.
