Building up a Monster PC

well, maybe not that much monster, but I decided that I am ready to build up my PC. so I started with this:

Case
and
DVD-RW
next step I am goin to buy motherboard and Processor but I don’t know which to buy. I found this one but price is suspiciously low.

in motherboards I have found quite a lot for varying prices:

so what will you advice?

What for? You want to fap at your sheer monstrous pc?

Also: fail, you’re looking up Intel mainboards(except the last one) but list up an AMD cpu.

oh, thank you for your helpful post! why does it matter to you what I fap at?

That’s a very good case you bought. When you’re building a computer, you need to keep in mind your purpose. I presume this a gaming computer. In that case you will need mainly a powerful CPU and a powerful graphics card. 8GB of RAM would be more than enough for gaming, and it gives you tons of room for multi-tasking. Anymore is a waste unless you do stuff like make movies or use Photoshop.

As for motherboards, I actually highly suggest this:
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128532&Tpk=gigabyte%20ga-x79-ud3

This is the best CPU in the world right now: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116491

But it is very expensive and massive overkill for gaming. You just need to make sure you buy a socket LGA 2011 CPU or it won’t fit in the motherboard I suggested. Basically, you gotta make sure those two always match up.

You’ll need a good CPU cooler, and if you don’t want to go water cooling, then go with this: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608024

You’ll need a big power supply with lots of watts and amps - Corsair is the way to go:

As for hard drives, Caviar Black is damn good: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136533

However if you want to go with Solid State Drives, that’s up to you. They’re much more expensive, not as much storage capacity, but they’re more reliable and faster in many respects.

I suggest adding Blu-Ray capacity to your computer: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106451

Here’s what I suggest for RAM: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233164&Tpk=CMZ4GX3M2A2000C10

If you want quality sound and surround-sound capability, go with this beast: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132010

And last but not least, your graphics card. I highly, highly suggest this top-of-the-line beast: https://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=04G-P4-2690-KR&family=GeForce%20600%20Series%20Family&sw=

The GTX 690 is $1000 but it’s the most powerful GPU in the world at the moment and can handle everything you throw at it. If that’s too expensive, go with the GTX 680 or GTX 670. Both have the latest technology but are a little slower and cheaper than the GTX 690.

All of the parts I have suggested are fully compatible.

Don’t be fooled by the prices of AMD processors. They’re always cheaper than Intel CPUs, but not always as good. I have nothing against AMD but I have always gone Intel + Nvidia and have never been let down.

Also, what is your budget?

Do you want your computer to be “future-proof” for many years? I.e. upgradeable?

I’ll fap you if you fap me… a little mutual fapping

I earn 900 gel (1 USD = 1.6 Gel) averagely
well if it will be “future-proof” that would be nice.

I don’t want part to cost more than 300 USD, because I will have to excise 20% of cost.

I like this one.

yeah I7 6Core that would be over too much. I’ll try to find something like i7 4core under 300$.

that’s good one. through I have nothing against water cooling, I have heard sometimes the tube spills the water. what would you suggest?

lol I choose this myself, what a coincidence :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll get 2 of those. :stuck_out_tongue:

nah, they have a too small capacity, I ll wait when they will get better and cheaper.

well, that’s not necessary yet, I’ll decide that later.

well, I think 16 GB wont harm my PC.

Awesome I will plug my Guitear in it ! :stuck_out_tongue:

yeah nice but too expensive and not necessary, I will choose one later.

well, thnx for advises.
