Borderlands

Only recently heard about it a month or so ago but it really looks amazing, it’s a 4 player co-op RPG-shooter made by Gearbox software.

I’ll be getting this one, comes out October 30th for PC users.

Looks like it could be fun.

Its looks awesome, and I really like the vast customizations you can make to your weapon, but im not a fan of the cell shading.

Oh man i can`t wait up for it :stuck_out_tongue:

The art style is… interesting. Can’t decide whether I love it or mildly dislike it.

It’s not cell shaded… it just has thick black outlines on things… which gives it a kind of pseudo-cartoon effect whilst retaining texture detail.

It always struck me as a poor-mans version of Rage. Much more excited to see that game.

I first heard about it in 2007 and loved it then.

Played it last weekend, and it’s awesome.

This looks like it would get dull rather quickly. Plus all of the numbers flying out of people seems to get annoying rather quickly.

How can you let yourself get upset about little numbers? I find that to be a feature, to know how much damage you’re doing. It shouldn’t be too hard to disable it either, should it?

Either way, you fail at stoicism. :stuck_out_tongue:

I like the graphic style as it portrays a good level of detail, and I have some light fondness for the universe as it’s a more realistic approach to fantasy. I hope Gearbox does well with the title, but I never expect the chance to play it.

I would really like to play this game, recently on twitter the head dev said that if you preordered and sent him a picture via e-mail. He would play with you on launch day and drop some “sweet loot”. But seeing as how Brian Crecente “editor in chief” of Kotaku announced this news publicly he’s had so many people send him e-mails he’s started to say that he can no longer follow through with any more people wanting in on the sweet deal. If it’s playable through steam I’d be up to play with anyone  not before I play Brutal Legend to death first, of course.

Yeah, I reckon i’m going to pre-order this one.
