Source is not easy to program for. There is a lot of setup work involved. Generally, the VALVe developer wiki is OK for most stuff but I find it sorely lacking in certain respects.

It’s not to code a new weapon, it’s to replace the crowbar with a hatchet and buff the damage accordingly. I’d probably also have to change the damage type to SLASH instead of BLUNT.
What I meant was bring BM’s code to the HL2/episodes single player campaign, so we could play them with the new features and effects. Currently the only way to do that is with BM weapons, HUD and everything, and broken/missing AI.
Also it would be cool to put some bullsquids and houndeyes in HL2.
