It was OK, but maybe not for the hard fans as ourselves.

If that was not a good article, then I really REALLY don’t know what you guys were expecting. REally. I don’t know what would satisfy you other than the mod itself. And even then, I call all of you chits will come back and complain about the rocks not being rocky enough, or the textures not having enough texture or Gordon not being Gordon enough.

The problem is the mag article was not aimed at the fanatics who know everything about Black-Mesa that has ever been detailed by the devs (and even some things they invented themselves, but insist Ram or Kane posted it somewhere), it was aimed at the average gamer who’s only contact with the mod was probably the trailers and the odd screenshot.
I don’t know why so many people here was expecting it any other way?!
I suppose it would have been better accepted had the writer proclaimed stars came out his behind as he played.

I think its great and is perfect for the average reader. Just enough detail to keep you reading and enough nostalgia for the HL fans. Good publicity for the mod too!

On the right-hand side of the screen shot of (I’m assuming) Office Complex at the top of page 32 (for those who have it) I can see that big, boxy, plaid chair from the original. It may seem like nothing, but just seeing that ugly thing brought back memories ^_^. I’m constantly amazed at the level of detail and professionalism put into this mod (although, ~five years in now, it’s not as surprising 
).

I’m definitely a lot better at After Effects now, when I made that video, I had only used AE for a few weeks.
