BM Coverage in Australian PC Powerplay

Received your copies of the magazine yet?

For those reading the scan. I got the magazine and it was a very good issue. Unless the magazine itself was focused entirely on sourcemods then there is no way that they could cater to the hardcore followers in their article. I thought it was a very good take on it, it got me excited for the release and it was a great introductory piece for those who haven’t heard much about it, or those who have seen a few trailers, to see how far the mod has come with some great screenshots which showed some new content for me. The entire thing looks far better in the magazine than in the scan obviously.

If you want something truly NEW then following the BM twitter and youtube pages will be the best you can hope for. And for those who can’t take sitting tight there’s plenty of excellent gameage out at the moment, Mass Effect 2 is about to be released, as is AC2 on PC.

Personally i can’t wait to try out the mod just to see what they’ve done with the Xen tentacle beastie XD. But it’ll come out when it comes out. They’ve gone too far to not release it NOW

A smart Cockroach, let hope all another cockroach will like him.

Translation: A smart cockroach, let’s hope all the other cockroaches will follow his good example.

Eh… thank you, sir.

I’ve been reading the forums for a few days, it wasn’t till now till i actually had something to say though. Apart from “yeah i agree with this guy” which isn’t the kind of post you want to make when it’s your first.

You sir win the cockroach of the month award. You did not have some useless first post to make.

Hammich, you have now been added to my signature. Congrats!

Translation: I like to make unnecessary ‘translations.’

Oh man, Black Mesa is really getting ripped on in 2009 retrospectives. Ah well, you burn gaming news sites with a missed release date, and this is what happens. They’ll be back on BM’s nuts when it’s out.

Yeah for sure. The internet media is going to go crazy when BM is released. I predict 75% of all gaming sites have something about it on there.

Definitely.

Oh and yeah, whatever happened to that guy who said he was going to make BM in less than a week?

Lol he made it, remember? Been playing it and the dinosaur village keeps getting me! :3

Finally got my mag today. Gosh it is so purty!

he was an obvious obvious obvious obvious obvious obvious successful troll.

Did you?

I’m still eagerly waiting for mine.

Well you guys brought this on yourselves. You made it too pretty too slowly.

=P hands up anyone here who has deliberately rushed an industry-level project to completion which they undertake of their own volition in their own time for no money?

I imagine the developers want to get this mod as right as possible the first time so hopefully once it’s done it’s done & dusted and we can all get to play it.

Raises hand

I often do my job (digital design & illustration) for people on my own time for no money because they’re friends of mine and helped me in the past. This also includes doing jobs for companies run by friends, listed as an intern. So that industry-level designing on my own free time and for no money, with deadlines in mind (and annoying customers for that matter).

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
