Blue Shift

I would like to have a blue shift in source to, maybe it could be a future project. I think it could be called “Guard Duty” or something else like that.

I am surprised to see that there IS a project of remaking blue shift and I’m even MORE surprised that “Guard Duty” is the projects name.

Is this a one man thread or can anyone join?

surr, any1 can post whatever they want, but the project “Guard Duty” already exists, as i noticed.

Guard Duty is being made by the same people who are remaking Opposing Force as “Operation Black Mesa”.

OBM is actually looking good, and there are a few guard duty screenshots, but im pretty sure they are old.

Also, someone made part of the Blue Shift intro with Black Mesa assets, and it looks good.

I’ve not played Blue-Shift in about a decade, but I recall that for some reason I loved it and played it almost as much as the original Half-Life… unlike Opposing Force, which I never really liked and only played through once.

I would love to see this remake really get off the ground, and hope that I can play it before the year 2019, about the time Half-Life 2: Episode 3 gets released.

I thought the OP was joking, like taking the p… out of the typical threads about OP and BS that come up round here haha.

Um… Can I just ask, “what?”

lol @ original post. About 3 years ago, summer of 09, I think. I always lurked these forums, the Operation Black Mesa forums, and guard Duty Forums, and all. Then, I just kinda started to be a normal user here. Recently though, I’ve seen that merge, I’ve seen that Hazard Team is making progress, I’ve seen that Opposing Force 2 is about to die, and all this new news I’ve missed the past 2 years.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
