I’m trying to model something for source in blender, and I found a good tutorial, which links to a .SMD exporter. The only problem is that I can’t find the .blender and the scripts folder. I’ve looked online already and I can’t find any solution, so if anyone knows what to do, please tell me.
C:\program files\blender foundation\blender.blender\scripts. Should be there. Otherwise, check where blender saves your files and find the scripts folder in that folder.
if its not in there it will be in
C:\Users\your name or whatever your logged into\appdata\roaming\blenderfoundation\blender.blender\scripts
(the appdata folder will mostlikely be hidden unless you have unlocked to see all hidden folders
Assuming he has vista…
or 7
I have XP still.
so just check what directory blender saves your files in by default. If it uses the appdata or whatever directory, your scripts will probably be in there. On XP it’s C:\documents and settings\username\Application Data\Blender Foundation\Blender.blender\scripts
Application Data may be a hidden folder, but if you haven’t already, you should disable hidden folders. Tools->Folder Options->View or display or something.
Thanks, that worked, now my only problem is compiling, it says that vstdlib.dll is not found.
you can probably google for it.
