Blackmesa xp skin

I just had the idea of making a Blackmesa themed xp skin, so I dled skin edit to give it a shot and quickly discovered I have no idea what I am doing. I was wondering if someone more experienced in such things could make the theme.

So far what I have imagined is the rock texture from the main page of blackmesa be the title bar and task bar and perhaps a black and smaller version of this be the start menu icon.

I know it would be a lot of work to make this, but I think the result would look great.

That shape would work for a Vista skin, but as an xp start bar it wouldn’t be very good because it wouldn’t fit correctly in the button.

But I do agree that a windows skin atleast of Black Mesa would be awesome if someone were to make it.

using skin edit you can shape the start button to a certain extent I think. I know you can at least make the start button a circle.

I have no clue what “Skin edit” is but I’m guessing it’s one of those shit freeware tools that give you a false sense of productivity and achievement.

The case is likely this:

“Skin Edit” is to actually designing your own theme from scratch as RPG Maker is to Hammer.

Sorry, I put skin edit when I meant to say skin studio, which is Stardock.
I probably could learn that, and I tried, but the result would look like shit so I am not even going to bother.

eh, there is already a Black Mesa theme made for windows blinds as an XP Theme or vista.
